Just curious, anyone have more information on this? (I didn't see another thread re: this topic. I apologize if it's in duplicate.)

    You know as much as we do. They have talked about a big signing all season, but there are two issues;

    1. We have no DP slot.

    2. Chivas has stated that they will not introduce a star mid season. Chemistry issues and the what not. The only spot we have is waiting for our Cuban #2 Olonso.

Please stop...we can't take anymore of these empty promises.:( I'd rather keep the team as is and continue our run to the final w/out hearing about anymore possible HUGE signings from our FO and/or blogs. Can't be dissapointed with something (or someone) you never had.

not going to happen this season, take it to the bank. BUT our new GM could be the BIG NAME hes talking about.

Next season I do expect to see some movement in the big name category

my suggestion... take all the money that would be used to bring in a "Big Name" and divide it up for each of the guys that have busted their asses off and turned this team into a legitimate contender. I think no one would argue that they have earned it!

As a Galaxy fan I don't wish Alexi "Team Killer" Lalas on any team. Not Chivas, not the Earthquakes, not anyone. He's bad for teams and bad for the league.

Former Chicago GM (unfairly fired) - posts on the boards (linky).

He's one of the good guys. He gets it.

If the rumor is true you guys are very lucky.

This is very sick, you know...:D

    And this is not:
The rumor is also on Du Nord:

There is a thread on the Milwaukee candidate city thread, Questions for Peter Wilt, that he and the Milwaukee fans use to talk back and forth...so I asked him. We'll see if he answers this one.

Wilt is incredible, particularly in his interaction with fans. If we didn't have Payne, Wilt would be who I'd want.

Wilt would be an awesome choice! Hopefully we will see a CEO that understands L.A. and MLS.

I pray that he will have no connection to Guadalajara:(

Well, it's not Wilt. He answered my question:
That he answered so immediately and so directly illustrates why he was so loved by the Chicago fans.
