Momentum as in playoff momentum. And I don't think it's suprising anyone.

The fouling statistics got a laugh out of me.

I just found the funniest thing. I've noticed that Peter Hirdt hasn't been contributing to MLSnet as a columnist so I did some searching around the web to see what he might have been up to. Found out that he recently put out a new baseball book, but also found his name on a Wine Lovers message board, apparently he's quite the connoisseur. I also found this picture of him [IMG]
    Too funny.http://www.wineloverspage.com/wines/ny020800.shtml

I always knew Peter was a good looking guy.

The original link doesn't work and I couldn't find it on the site. Is anyone else having this problem?

Apparently a lot of the older stuff from MLSnet.com isn't available anymore, which is a shame because for our purposes things like the old box scores or even Hirdts columns woudl be very usefull. The one good thing is though that apparently the email address that was his when he was writing for the site is inactive, and I bet the one listed in the Wine Luvers profile is an active one.

As it happens, I saved all the old Hirdt columns in anticipation of such an occasion, Maxim.

Thank you thank you, I'm hopign that the old box scores will come back on line when the team sites of the uber mlsnet.com go live. that's at least how it is on MLB team websites.
