The second stunning piece of news in the world of American soccer today. Everyone knew he "deserved" to be fired, but I don't think anyone really expected he would be. Clarke was a pretty good coach here in San Diego for the Flash, but I didn't follow it all that closely, so I can't really offer any good insight in that regard.
The sad thing is that right now Dallas has very little chance of getting to the playoffs. if the only way to save money was for Jeffries to resign (which he was not going to do)< but they decided to fire him anyway> i think they should have done this much earlier, since money-wise it would not have made a difference for the team's owner...I guess they were waiting for the coach to do the "honorable" thing....not like it was going to happen
Well then it's not a smart decision to sign him to a guaranteed contract. The contract should be more like NFL which the up front signing bonus is guaranteed is and the salary isn't. I think that system is more fair for both sides. If Mike Jefferies didn't like the deal, find someone else. Now I can see why Andy Swift decided to resign. I don't know if he is respoinsible but there are a lot of bad decision being made in last year and half it seems.
I think Manny's dad, Buzz Lagos is a very good coach. Arguably the best in A league. He should be considered.
You honestly think a team with four wins out of twenty-four can now, all of a sudden, put a six-game winning streak together? Mathematically, they're still "alive," but I have no idea why Sean Wheelock and others waste their breath saying Dallas is "playing for their playoff lives."
All MLS fans should root for the Burn to get got and take the last playoff spot away from the Galaxy. Sachin
That goes without saying. So how many former WUSA coaches are sending resumes to Burn headquarters today?
yeah, you can even come up w/ a creative, never b4 heard chant: Beat LA. That'll show 'em!! It's something that EVERY LA sports team cringes over and it forces them to go and ... win some more hardware.
2002. US Open Cup 2001 I would list more, but I think reading comprehension exercises are valuable. Try reading up on the league b4 posting
who can at least do math. Good boy, Mr. Segroves. You can do research. And you almost did a good job. You see, not only do you have reading problems (you failed to notice how in the original post I mentioned ALL LA sports teams), worse still, you can't do basic math. How many times have the Bills lost in the Super Bowl? Do a lil' research, hun. Subtract that number from 3 (the cups lost by the G's)... and what do you know? Once again, work on your reading comprehension and most definitely your math skills. More importantly, try working on your ppl skills. In short, get a life. And try to work on your punctuation, such as the superfluous comma you added in the above quote. I know it's a tough concept. But just try.
Back to the topic at hand, I hope that the Burn get their act together. The fans deserve better, the league deserve better. The firing should have happened a long time ago.
