Sorry if this was known (and I did a quick look-around, but found nothing)...

Magee is listed in the official email Metro pregame report as out with a Sprained left MCL. Anyone aware when this happened?

    Re: Magee out?

Quick email response back from the Metros: hurt against Dallas, but "his status was not determined until today."

Judging by his performance against Dallas this isn't a major loss, NY has plenty of forwards with equal ability.

Hell, the same could be said for Gaven's performance in that game. Let's face it, with Amado out, our midfield (and Magee has been playing midfield here of late, not forward) looks pretty beatable. The problem with Magee going down is that the Metro midfield has looked its best playing Gaven, Magee, Guevara and Clark together. They haven't looked this good since Gilberto went down.

Fixed your post. Vaca has been starting in midfield; lately Clark has re-entered the picture as a sub.

    1. There is no NY franchise in MLS.
    2. Magee has not been playing forward. He has been playing in the midfield.
    3. I don't think you can judge how a player will be missed based on one game. I think you need to look at the body of the work he has provided over the whole season.
    4. Magee is the most improved player in the Metrostars lineup this year. He has been a key component in their offensive success. His absence was keenly felt last night against Colorado.
    5. Please don't waste our time with further posts like this.

    Huh
I have to admit I am surprised how well he has played as a midfielder. So when do we get him back?

I agree with Wabbitt. Magee has greatly improved this season and when he's in the midfield for us he certainly generates offense and can string together a couple of few passes.
