In case you all want to know what NSR stands for its No Soccer Related.

lets set our questions, for starters, age, marital status how long have you been a blaugrana fan, feel free to add some other questions.

I'll start, Im 28 (in November) divorced, have 3 kids and my passion for Barcelona started back in '92 (although I followed them before) I've never been to Nou Camp but I dont want to die without going to watch a match in there.

    Great idea Mario

    I'm 39

Married; one son-4.5 years old; second son due Sept 20 or thereabouts (for some reason my wife rejected both Landon AND Donovan as first names, and Baggio Edwards just doesn't work)

Barca fan--I became a Barca fan as much because of the legend around the club, Catalunya, the 'no shirt sponsors,' and the style of soccer they play.

    congrats about your baby Ton!

my kids are Mario Javier 6.5, Camila 5 (October 5th that is!) and Pablo Sebastian 2.5 and before you guys ask about their names no it has nothing to do with Javier Saviola, Pablo Aimar or Sebastian Veron! ;)

    Good Idea Mario..

    I am 34 years old
    Single
moving to SF Bay area from NYC again in 2 weeks

Started following Barca when I lived in Barcelona from 1991-1992, and on subsequent trips back there over the years.

in the epic 1991-1992 season I had season tickets with a friend and we went to almost every match. It was the greastest year. I was 22, young and living in Barcelona, watching Stoichkov, Laudrup, Koeman, Zubi perform night after night in both La Liga and the CL.

It was that year that hooked me as a soccer fan for the rest of my life, and most importantly, a supporter of FCB.

I laos follow the Metros and DC united of MLS, but will soon be watching Quakes games Tony :)

Outside of Soccer, I follow Univ. of Michigan football, and all Detroit sports teams ( I was born and raised in Detroit)

    My vital stats:

    I'm 28

never been married, no kids (that I know of).

I became a Barça fan the same time I became a soccer fan. I traveled to Europe in the summer of 94, during the world cup (had I been a soccer fan, I would have stuck around!). I watched several world cup games in various bars and restaurants around Europe (including the epic Brazil-Holland in a Barcelona bar; I was with my Brazilian friend, but the rest of the people in the bar were Dutch!) and was hooked. Barcelona was definitely my favorite city in Europe, so my allegiance to FC Barcelona was set in stone. I haven't been back, but I will return dammit!

    And congrats Tony!

    I'm the youngest.

I'm 21. Not married, yet. No Kids. Barca fan since..1999 (No I never saw Romario + Stoickhov play )

I live in Los Estados Unidos, en Washington, DC. My fiance went to Barcelona as a a part of a Study Abroad trip and got me a Rivaldo shirt and Barca keychain (In Spring 2002, months later he was transferred :( )

Rivaldo, MO, and PK9 are the reasons I am Barca fan. Oh and the De Boers. and Dutch football for that matter.

    Hello.

    1st post on Barcelona board.

Name's Ed, 21 years old, Los Angeles native of Mexican descent.

Been a Barsa fan since... Marquez signed. :)

    Don't hate me. I'm fragile.

But I do support my teams through and through.

    I am no gloryhunter.

Besides, Marquez is the best! Sure, his game is a bit off right now and due to this lack of top-notch form, he's not playing much.. yet. But I gaurantee he will demonstrate how much of a beast he is.

Oh, and as a parting gift, I did have my allegiance split today because Osasuna is my 2nd La Liga club due to obvious reasons.

I forgot to mention I'm single w/ no children. Any beautiful women out there, drop me a line. ;)

ALso my first post in this forum.

Michael. 32 Live in Taiwan, though a native of New Hampshire in the U.S.

Passively liked Barca since I visited the city over ten years ago. Since last season, I have been able to see Spanish matches weekly and will follow them more closely. Usually, two la liga matches are carred each week in Taiwan.

Married. First child on the way. A girl due in December.

I woudn't say that Barca is my favorite team in Europe. I like Inter, Arsenal and Marseille more than Barca, but in Spain, while I usually cheer for Barca and who is playing Real Madrid, I have a soft spot for Barca because of my visit to the city and how wonderful the natives there are.

    hello, mario.
i think this is a great idea.

i'm 34, single, and have been a fan of barca since i was a kid (around '79). my apologies in advance for having put another team in front of FCB but that's another story for another time.

my adopted american name is actually phil and i'm korean by descent. i lived and breathed soccer esp. when i was a kid as it must've been the case for many of the people here. because the most talented korean soccer player at the time was playing in bundesliga, TV networks started showing not only german soccer but also other games.

they also started showing some of the high-profile games such as NY cosmos vs barcelona and such, which i now realize must've been ceremonial. although cosmos were made up mostly of aging stars such as beckenbauer and chinaglia, i did like them a lot. having never heard of barcelona before, i was shocked to see barcelona thump cosmos 3-0. but although soccer is probably the biggest sport at grassroot level in the u. s., i was starved to see professional soccer games and coverage for them in the '80s and much of the '90s.

shortly after i moved to nyc, i started following soccer again around '95 and was enarmored by FSW for showing great la liga games (barca vs r. madrid encounters) and serie A. i must admit there has been rather a big gap in my fandom but my passion for the game has remained all the same.

i love barcelona for their commitment to all-attacking, colorful, and entertaining soccer at all costs. such philosophy might have cost them some vital titles here and there but i truly enjoy watching them play. i also believe it shows genuine confidence on the part of FCB.

i'm hoping i'll be able to go to europe, esp. spain and italy, regularly so that i'll be able to watch my favorite clubs play in person. perhaps we can go to the nou camp together and watch barcelona drubbing madrid? that will make my day.

    Chris here.

I'm 33. Single, but basically married (we've together a long time). No kids. I've been living in Portland, OR for 6 years. I was born & raised in Buffalo, NY (please forgive me).

I started following Barça in '95 when the Prime Deportiva channel used to show La Liga, and ESPN the Champions League. They have given me loads of thrills, as well as reasons to shout profanities, ever since.

I ended up in BCN in '97 for a few months in the spring/summer to teach English, brush up on Spanish and to practice la marcha. I accomplished all of it, yet the pesetas were getting spent quicker that they were coming in and I limped back to the US flat broke. While I was there, I was at Camp Nou a few times a week to watch the squad train with the packs of old men and to skate (I also play hockey) at the ice rink. I watched Ronaldo tear up defenses on a weekly basis and got to see them win La Recopa. It was an amazing party that I will never forget.

I've been back to Spain twice (Barcelona once) since. I hope to take one more shot at living in Barcelona in the very near future.

    Hi,
my name is Klemen and I am a new one here. I think now I am the youngest. I am 19 and I am a student. I start watching Barca in Uefa CL final in 1995 (I think it was that year) when they lost 0-4 against Milan. Dissappointment at the begining, better results later, and disappointment for the last few seasons again. I hope for better season this year. I am single, no babe at the moment, a lot of time for my love-football (Ajax & Barca). I dont speak spanish so please dont write much in it.

    P.s.
does anybody play Fantasy football (its for free)

Arturo-- 44, living in San Jose California, born in Cadiz Spain. Married to a Gaditana two kids Ascension 17 and Javier 12. Saw Barca for first time in 73-74 while living in Spain with relatives, when they won the liga and trashed Madrid 0-5 at the Bernabeu, with Cruyff, Sotil, Reina Asensi, etc. I am not a Barca fan, maybe it's because my brother is a cule! Or is it because so many Beticos go to Barca to ride the pine and then come back to Betis with their tails between their legs!

Hey Gang- Its me...you can take me off the milk cartons and "missing person" posters.

Long story short: I've been traveling for work, traveling for fun, and burning the midnight oil for a freelance design project I just finished.Great thread Mario, that's why we luv ya.

    So anyway....

    - 36 years old
    - 7 month old baby boy
    - married
    - Started following FCB closely back in the early 90's after Stoitchkov won the Golden Boot and they beat Samp for the (sigh) one and only European Cup. After watching HS destroy people in WC '94 there was no turning back! I visited the city for first time in the late 90's and being a design nut, I thought it was to die for.

    Other stuff:
    - Lived in Chicago area for 13 years
    - I Follow some baseball, college American football, and Formula One-- a Ferrari Tifoso, if you care.
    - Inherited Inter as my 'first' soccer team from an uncle who lived in Milano during the 80s/90s and got me hooked. (I still consider myself a dedicated Interista.)
    - First pro match was a trip to De Meer Stadium back in 1989 to see Ajax.

Ok I dont know dallas cowboys and other american sports like baseball, their stupid football... I love pure soccer as you say and football as we say. Barca played that football, it is like wonder to see when you look them playing, game creativity, passing, surprises... that was Barca when I started watching them and I fall in love in her. I am just waitting that this will happem aggain. They have always been a worldclass team and they always be. They have good players, great fans and stupid board. I will never understand why they sale Ronaldo, Rivaldo... And there is one thing that this team dont have and I dont like it: luck!!! If Barca have had more luck they would have been atleast so successful as Milan, Juve and Real are.

    Saludos.

Paul here, 35 years old. Just had a son 5 months ago. Married to Heidi and live in Princeton, where I am condemned to life working for Merrill Lynch. Also am an assistant coach for the Men's team at Princeton University.

I stand to be in a long line of cule's in my family. My dad, grandfather, countless relatives. Lived in Barcelona where I played for their youth teams and was a card carrying member. Now, I a "Gent del Barca" card holder. While I lived in Spain, ironically enough, I also became of a fan of Real Sociedad because of their goalkeeper, Luis Maria Arkonada, probably one of the best keepers in the world at the time.

For the record, I despise Real Madrid. Period.
