not too recent but just to mention...galasek extends contract to 2006, yakubu does the same, and lobont is set to stay until '08. the new news is heitinga is now the official starting right back. i guess this just means until trabelsi is back, but grygera hasnt been doing his job and idk what happened with de jong from last yr to this yr cuz he was awesome and getting a lot of time last yr.
de jong had been playing RM in place of the injured pienaar until today - don't know about that myself, he's awesome i keep hearing that AJAX are interested in van buyten of marseille... while i'd LOVE that to be true, i just can't see them spending the cash it's gonna take to outbid juve and manU
ya i dont see vBuyten wanting to come to Ajax. i think he wants a BIG team now. i personally would also love to see this happen. he and pasanen in the middle. boumsong and mexes are both leaving auxerre, but i doubt they would want to come either. on a side note, just a matter of opinion and not based on rumors or anything, the left back for Boca is very damned good. i dont recall his name or knwo his age (he is the light skinned one tho, not the moreno as they are both good). if he is young and not too exspensive that would also be a good buy, even with maxwell and job.
Big upcoming games for Ajax: This weekend vs Heerenveen. Always a free-flowing, entertaining game. By all accounts, Ajax should be able to grap three points from this fixture unless the team is too distracted from the midweek clash vs Milan. BIG game vs Milan. It's gonna be very tight, with very few opportunities. The team that makes the least mistakes will win. Remember that vd Vaart is out due to silly red card vs Celta. Sneijder will have to play a huge role in this match. Following weekend : the Classic, Ajax-Feyenoord.
i dont think it will be that bad if he leaves, with heitinga and de jong there, and grygera if he does better. imo the team will be fine even if he and raffy leave.
AFCA.. how did they let it get to this point without negotiating a new deal? his value now at the january transfer window will be cut-rate!!!!! i totally agree losing trebelsi would be a massive blow.. and for everyone who thinks he can't play for one of the "Big" clubs, you'll see...
http://www.soccerage.com/en/13/r5426.html more oldish zlatan news... such is life at AJAX AJAX have an option to extend so there will be no cut-rate fee - if i had to guess, HT will command about 8 million euro when he leaves... perhaps a little more if we dig deep into the CL again and he's regularly making manU or milan drool
the AJAX-milan CL match will have a free webcast on wednesday i'll post the links when that thread is started
thanks blue, im back in the US so im reliant on that i guess now. maxwell is out of the game tomorrow. and nice avatar!
yea i might be coming back soon too maxwell is almost certainly out, pienaar has a slim chance to play, but obodai had a nice debut sunday at RM bob playin footie aint it cool!
Trabelsi set to leave http://skysports.planetfootball.com/article.asp?id=175206&cpid= question, if this does happen, would ajax 1st pick up the 2 yr option and sell him or let him out on a free? the latter would be stupid
Ajax are favorites to land some Egyptian keeper http://skysports.planetfootball.com/article.asp?id=175591
read it and weap http://www.soccerage.com/en/13/s2900.html this could be a very different looking AJAX next season
Meanwhile in Holland... VDV has told Ajax he aims to see out his contract till 2006. Same for Ibrahimovic. Soccerage is full of sh!t. They might turn out to be right. But I trust our own Dutch and A'dam news sources a lot more. Besides, no one at Ajax believes either VDV or Zlatan are ready for a move abroad. They do not have what it takes yet. I hope they also understand this.
i saw this around 3am this morning but am just posting it now. Petri Pasanen was loaned out to Pourtsmouth.
the kanu return rumours are kicking up again http://www.football365.com/All_News/Premiership_News/story_98090.shtml
