    JOHNSON: PAY OFFER IS DERISORY

West Brom midfielder Andy Johnson has insisted he was forced to ask for a transfer because the club's new contract offer is "derisory".

Johnson took a pay cut to move from Nottingham Forest last year on the understanding that he would be given a new deal if Albion were promoted - and he is unhappy with those terms.

He said: "I want to make it clear to the fans that I am not being greedy."
