I am now in the market of buying a Fire jersey. From the renderings the new jersey looks to be the best the Fire have ever had. However, they are only going to be wearing this one for a year. I'm a college student and can't afford to update my jersey collection as they come. Do you guys think it's worth it to get this one or should I wait for the adidas one that they'll at least wear for a couple years?

I'm losing sleep over this debate.

From one college student to another, get this one. Don't wait for adidas.

It depends on if you wanna be "old-school" or prefer to be cutting-edge.

As long as you are wearing your teams colors, you can't go wrong!

Well I want to get red in case I ever join Section 8. I think I may be agreeing with Bethany on this. These new red ones are nice!

Only Four More Days to Pre-Order Fire's New Puma "Chicago Flag" Third Kits
The Chicago Fire and PUMA® have announced a new playing kit set to debut during the 2005 season that will supplement the Fire's existing home and away uniforms during select matches throughout the season. Taking into account the spirit and culture of Chicago and the dedication of its fans, PUMA has created the third uniform as homage to the Windy City with a jersey references the City of Chicago's municipal flag in both design and color palette. While retaining the signature Fire badge branding, the new jersey, like the flag, features white stripes across the chest and side panels that signify the north, south and west sides of the city. The baby blue color of the jersey symbolizes Lake Michigan, the Chicago River and the Great Canal. Scheduled for release in May 2005, the Fire will be holding a special pre-order sale through this Friday, Nov. 12 that includes free shipping. To order, please call 1-888-MLS-FIRE.

So they will not be commercially available for purchase till May 2005. When, if we preorder, will they be in our hands? Anyone know?

    I'm a lazy bastard.
Thanks. Too late for me, I'll pick one (or more) up when they're out.
