Please use this thread for in-game play-by-play and chatting.

Game time is 6:30 pm CT.

This week may prove a little more challenging than usual. The game is televised only on HDNet. If you're able to watch the HDNet broadcast near a computer, please add whatever updates you can provide.

The game is also expected to be on the radio in the Houston area in Spanish on Concierto 850 AM and 101.7 FM.

You may be able to watch streaming video at the Sights & Sounds page at MLSnet.com. The game is listed at the S&S page, but games available only on national broadcasts haven't usually been available at S&S in the past. It's also not clear if there's going to be a charge, or how much it would cost. Check the S&S page as game time approaches. You may just need to test it out to see what happens.

I agree. If anyone wouldn't mind giving some play-by-play it would be greatly appreciated here.

We MIGHT be able to listen to the game via DC's WMET radio station streaming over the net (http://wmet1160.com). I couldn't find confirmation on that website that the game was being broadcast but it's worth a shot if you don't have HDnet or aren't going to one of the local viewing sites.

I don't know if it's a mistake, but there is a video link showing on the mlsnet site for this game (along with audio links). The audio and video are still free this weekend, so if these are activated, anyone can watch them. But, the video may not work, as I think the game is only available on HDNet, and according to the MLS site, games that are only on HDNet are not on the mlsnet online video.

Let's hope that the video link is activated today!

Well, the video link connected me to a black sceen. I don't know if that's because the game hasn't started yet or because that's all it will be...

They just disabled the video link, no video. They have the audio links up, but I'm getting Spanish audio from the English audio link. Anyone have a link to an English audiocast?

Starting lineup has no Eddie Robinson, based on the players I'm guessing this is the formation:

    Onstad
    Gray Waibel Cochrane Barrett
    Mullan Serioux Clark Davis
    Moreno Ching

Robinson's not even listed on the bench, which is obviously not a good sign. Maybe he was reinjured this week?

Audio for the DC game is working for me. Got there by clicking on the "audio, listen live" link on the dynamo web site. can't tell who it is or what station is broadcasting sounds like a DC guy, but its the only way I can listen or watch the game right now.

Yeah, if you want English audio from the MLS "Sights and Sounds" page click on the "Home Espanol" link. They are reversed (English and Spanish links)

MLS TV strike count for today

strike 1 - putting up the video link when there is not supposed to be a video

strike 2 - esp = English and eng = Spanish

I still can't believe they are going to make us pay for this service

    Go Dynamo

Ricardo Clark with Houston's first shot of the day, about 12 minutes into the game. Sounds like DCU has controlled most of the play so far.

Sounded like Onstad made a great save on the intial shot, but then the rebound was put in. Bad luck for Houston.

Sounds like they were fortunate not to have a PK called against them before the FK so it may have been deserved bad luck.

I didn't hear him talk about a PK, the issue was that the ref called a foul, but he stopped play when DCU had advantage. The free kick was outside the box, not in the penalty area.

Ching finds the back of the net but is offsides.

I heard it as Gros was fouled before Gomez in the box and had the ref played advantage it would have been a PK.

The announcer keeps referring to onstad's save before the goal, he's making it sound like a truly jaw-dropping save.

Sorry, I don't understand how that makes sense. All advantage means is that you don't stop the play right away, but the free kick is taken from the same spot whether or not advantage is called - the spot where the foul was committed. The issue was that it sounded like someone from DCU had a free run to the goal but the ref stopped play.

On a different note, it sounds like Ching has made a couple of nice plays on the ball, but offside was called twice.

Good to hear Davis's name being called making some crosses, taking the free kicks.

Halftime 1-0 DCU. Sounded like Houston had a great opportunity late in the half, with Ching with the ball in the box and the keeper out of position, but Ching didn't know it and passed the ball to Davis, whose shot was deflected.

Houston seemed to have as many scoring chances as DCU, they just couldn't convert. Sounds like DCU is controlling the ball more overall. And Ching has been offside 3 times, killing good scoring chances. Hard to tell if the ball is being delivered late, or if Ching is not aware of his position.

C'mon Dynamo, get it together for the second half.

Not sure if it's going to continue into the second half, but right now the video link is working from the mlsnet player. I was listening to the audio, and noticed that the video link on the player page was active, so I clicked on it. I'm now watching the halftime show online, hopefully it stays live for the second half.
