I stumbled across this while channel surfing tonight...but ESPN Classic will show this again...they're replaying the 1999 WWC Final with additional post-match interviews and commentary from Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain, Joy Fawcett, and Briana Scurry (who comments on her PK save). It will be replayed Thursday 9p et/6p pt, and Friday at 11p et/8p pt.

I watched this last night. I thought it might make me feel a little better, given recent events. For some silly reason I expected them to show the enitre game but they skipped most of the game and spent WAY too much time with interviews. Oh well. Watching it again I realized something, the US made A LOTbad passes in that game.

I had forgotten Kate Sobrero's red hair.

I attended the game in LA, having set the VCR at home for 2 1/2 hours. Given the OT and PKs, the tape ran out. It was good to see the final minutes and all of the PKs and celebration at the end.

Lilly's header off the line in OT still sends shivers up my back. :)

I knew the ball wasn't going to go in but I still held my breath, in case it did.

That game also reminded me how solid and tough a defender Kate is in the middle but also how quiet.
