As far as Canada, Setanta Sports (my PPV provider) does not list the friendly as being televised. It does, however, list Wales/Russia, but details are To Be Announced.

Just got an email from Setanta saying they do not have it. I wonder if FSW will show it if there is no ppv interest.

Getting tired of chasing down providers/venues

I gave Setanta an earful about the Turkey/England match being restricted to commercial establishments.

They poor-mouthed about piracy - my response is that it happens to boxing promoters, HBO, and porn channels every day and they still make shedloads of money. Build it into your fees and forget about it - you can't police it and all the lawyers in the world won't solve it.

We are willing to pay for all the England matches, including matches against minnows like Liechtenstein and friendlies, but not to have the important matches (Turkey) snatched away at the last minute.

Now we can't even get the match anywhere in a country of 300 million. Amazing....

I just got an email from Setanta saying that they are setting up a channel for commercial establishments to show live football. $250 a month which for what they are supplying seems resonable. My question is. Does the $250 a month get you access to all the PPV matches. Somehow I doubt it.

Are Setanta going to come out with a resisdential system that will cost $40 a month and that this will be the only way to get the PPV feed for the games at an extra $20 a time. Has anyone talked to Etanta about this?

I hope we don't go back to the dark ages of the late 80's early 90's when we didn't see an England game

    Matches on DirectTV

I too was frustrated that they didn't televise the Denmark friendly. I got DirecTV because they were showing previous England matches on PPV. It worked out well as I saw the Macedonia and Liechtenstein matches. Suddenly the last 2 have not been shown here. Does anyone know if the next matches will be shown (Portugal and Sweden)?

I check with soccertv.com on why the Denmark match wasn't shown and was told:
"Setanta Sport, the promoter that had the rights, decided not to execute on the rights. The rights have reverted back on distributor Octagon CSI. DirecTV cannot air the match if no promoter wants the rights."

So where else can I see a match in the comfort of my own home?
