The Championnat Haitien de Football Professionnel DIGICEL is the new format of the top division league in Haiti. I am starting this topic thread to report the results of the league championship.

The 16 teams that are supposed to take part in this tournament are as followed:

    Club (Town):
    AIGLE NOIR (Port-au-Prince)
    AMERICA FC (Cayes)
    AS CAPOISE (Cap-Haitien)
    AS MIREBALAIS (Mirebalais)
    BALTIMORE SC (Saint-Marc)
    CAVALY AS (Leogane)
    DON BOSCO FC (Petion-Ville)
    FICA (Cap-Haitien)
    PETIT GOAVE FC (Petit Goave)
    RACINE (Gros Morne)

    TEMPETE FC (Saint-Marc)
    VALENCIA FC (Leogane)
    VICTORY SC (Jacmel)
    VIOLETTE AC (Port-au-Prince)

Due to some disputes among the clubs and the Federation Haitienne de Football, 5 out of the 16 clubs have refused to participate in the new league. The teams that are boycotting the tournament: AS Capoise (Cap Haitien), FICA (Cap Haitien), Racing Club Haitien (P-au-P), Valencia FC (Leogane), Victory SC (Jacmel).

Unsurprisingly the last emergency meeting between the G5 and the FHF (Haitian football federation) didn't bring them any closer to an agreement. It reads more like a crazy protest with no real expectation or guidance on how they are really protesting and want changed. So after 3 boycotted games by the clubs, and a failed last ditch meeting, FHF's patience has run thin and they have decided to continue the league with the remaining 11 clubs.

So here are the scheduled games for this weekend:

    Saturday March 29:
    Violette AC vs Baltimore SC

    Sunday March 30:
Don Bosco vs Petit Goave FC
America FC vs Aigle Noir AC
    Racine FC vs Racing FC
    Tempete FC vs AS Mirebalais

Here in Europe team is disqualified from league competition when they fail to show up at two games for no obvious reason. Interestingly, ass we speak, team from my hometown is five hours from disqualification as they won't play today (for second week in a row).

This situation with Valencia and others is ridiculous, reason that those teams did not play in 3 games is beyond funny. If they had problems with the fact that some teams they don't like play in that league, they might have retire before league started or ask FA to postopone start of the league before situation is solved.

Worst thing for Haitian football is that now they won't have team in CCL - I am sure that Valencia would have been more competitive than last season.

ASSL plays in the 2nd division this season. As for having FIFA doing anything to FHF president Yves Jean Bart. It's not going to happen since they approved of his infamous decision to create this new league format, and already told the clubs who are against it that they need to resolve their differences with the FHF on their own, they (FIFA) only take correspondance from the national FAs and will not get involved.

Osiris is doing whatever he wants with Fifa money in the DR, and Blatter does not care at all as long as Osiris gives him his vote.
