Matchtracker on fifaworldcup.com Does anyone want a PbP? In case they don't get Telefutura? So far, Brazil is up by a goal on a penalty caused by a hand ball.
The announcer seems to be surprised by his own excitement at the game, and impressed by the skill. Somehow, this amuses me. Katia is impressive - very athletic and fast. Reminds me of Robinho, actually. Wonder if we'll see Ronaldo's wife play. It's controversial, her making the team because she's famous and pretty. But she does have some skills, too.
Here's a good run-down of the Milene controversy. http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/03/en/030918/11/81j.html Apparently, she's divorcing Ronaldo, so I'm sure that she's distracted as well.
Now they're discussing the death of WUSA, and surprisingly, not making any fun, just calling it a shame. Korea is playing a disciplined game. Except for the handball mistake, they are hanging tough. Brazil has consistently had more chances, though.
Were any of the three a: "GolAAAAAAAZOOOOO! GolAAAAAAAZOOOOO! Golazo, golazo, golazo, azo, azo azo!"? Being that I was at the match, I didn't know if Pablo had a golazorgasm.
The most boring match of the WWC so far. The SKoreans did nothing resembling organized soccer. Kick and hope the whole way.
Yeah, that would be Katia's. Pablo sounded like he had a bit of a crush on her - his awe at her skills was so evident, "Que mujer! Que jugador!"
So we can now pinpoint Katia as a "Golaaaaazo!" scorer. Problem: we don't know what Pablo did on the other 23 goals scored in the previous five games! I know there's another announce team, but still! ___________________________________ "Grande Freddy! Grande Adu!"
Well, both teams looked very nervous, many of them playing their first world cup games. Brazil eventually seemed to gain more confidence as the game went on. South Korea was actually quite impressive for the first 20 minutes of the game, as Brazil's coach mentioned after the game. But they were very unlucky as many of the great chances by their best player Eun Sun Park somehow didn't find the net. One of their attackers Lee with the bleached blonde hair also had some good chances. The most noticeable thing about the Korean team was their disciplined defense. Katia was offsides for something like 7 times while there was none for Korea from what I remember. The Korean coach admitted afterwards they lost the game by losing the midfield battle and that the players failed to show their true abilities due to being so nervous. Brazil actually wasn't as impressive at that game, except Katia. But they definitely have seemed to picked up something since then because the whole team was kicking ass in today's game against Norway.
