Just go to www.bbc.co.uk/radio/ Click on Listen to Five Live When the pop-up appears, you can use that, or you can click on Play in stand-alone player. If you pick stand-alone, then it should be in your playlist for the future. No longer any need to go to the BBC website. Note, EPL coverage is blocked, but lower leagues and certain competitions are not.
Actually this is possible (I'm listening to England v NI at the moment) from sunny california Not the simplest thing though. Firstly you need the 'UK radio stream'. I believe this is: rtsp://rmlivev8acl.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio5/live/r5_tl_g2.ra The BBC though is going to check to ensure that you are based in the UK (which you are not of course). Therefore you have to use a Proxy server. Hopefully you are familiar with this term, in essence you need to 'bounce' off a UK server to access the website therefore fooling it into thinking you are based locally. You are going to need to use a site such as http://www.proxy4free.com/index.html to find an active UK proxy sever then edit the relevant settings within realPlayer. If none of this is clear a quick google search should help you along the way. I think this is 'smart' rather than illegal. Personally I just work in the US so I have my UK TV license. Just hate missing out on the games and the football debate while I am working away. Please feel free to delete this post if it is dodgy. olax
the Proxies on Proxies for free are always dodgy though. It's trial and error anyway, but I can never get them to work.
