Don't get me wrong, it's going to be amazing to see the Galaxy play the best team in the world and my personal favorite but, I would rather see the huge amount of money I'm sure it's going to cost go to improving our league in other ways.

I don't think AEG is paying for this at all, supposedly Barca may be using this to determine how to get involved in the league.

AEG might be paying for Chelsea to play the Galaxy though.

I heard that Chelsea are also stopping off in the area for a friendly.

Although who they play is yet to be decided, could be us, could be Chivavs, or it could be another team like CA or Guadalajara.

    Cool- let's hope the G's can pull a W on this one.

We will have to make sure to warn Dunivant about that flopper Messi and his tendency to dive if you even look at him.

I also hope we get more G's fans at this game than part-time supporters. How many more Ronaldinho jerseys must I have to see. I can see it now General Admission $75m good grief.

The X-Games this year are being held from August 3-6, so these games will have to be at either the Coliseum or the Rose Bowl...

If we play outside the HDC it is unlikely that we'll have too much fan support in this one :-(

LA. I'm more of an LA fan now. Barca is the team of my youth. Will go with a group of mutually torn Spanish expats...

I've dreamed about this happening and it looks like it's going to come true. I hope Barcelona bring most of their starters like Real Madrid did, that would make the game a lot more competitive and interesting.

Does it say they're playing the Galaxy or does it say Galaxy and/or Chivas?

i know that Real Madrid will be playing RSL this season...they said somewhere in a press conference if I recall that a big spanish team was going to play in Salt Lake this year. I think its Real, but may be Barca.

it says "and/or"... it is not set for sure yet and if they decide two matches here is too much for them in that amount of time they will likely go with Chivas as they would expect more money from that .. Unless, of course, the Galaxy offer more up-front money than Chivas.. But then that might not be enough if there is a gate percentage for them too.. I have no idea how this deal would work actually but don't count on it yet..

Maybe they'll switch the soccer stadium events to the track and field stadium this year for the X-Games (it's not like 27,000 seats were needed for motocross...)

Doesn't look like it there is no Home Galaxy or chivas games at the HDC till the 20th when we Play so that is enough time for the grass and such to get back into shape.
