    the facts:
    03 Dallas Burn...5 W...16 L...4 T...-23 GD
    01 TB Mutiny....4 W...21 L...2 T...-36 GD
    99 Metrostars...7 W...25 L..........-32 GD

with five games left, Dallas still has a longshot at breaking the record goal differencial. they would need a -13 GD for the rest of the season to tie that record.

present any arguments for other teams here.
compare what you remember of these teams and which is the worst.

The September 20, 2003 Fire were worse.

the mutiny are clearly the worst team on that list. anyway, the burn are getting better at this moment, and as bad as you think they are, with the way KC is playing, the Burn could sneak in the playoffs if they could steal a point (or 3) from SJ next weekend.

The 2001 Tampa Bay Mutiny will never be beaten as the worst team ever.

    Indeed...

However, I didn't see a terrible team beat us; even though we played like crap, the Burn did have something to do with it. I saw a team with speed, drive, and no little quality. A few players didn't step up this year, and a few got injured. I saw bits of the Columbus game, and they didn't look that bad there, either--even with Johnson's terrible miss they had a chance away against a resurgent team. The overall quality in MLS is so much better now than when the Mutiny sucked sucked it up, that I'm sure this Dallas team would run them over.

100% correct. dallas is clearly a team with pretty good talent, that had given up on playing for the previous coach. Nowhere was it more evident than in the fact that the Burn showed no discipline in even STAYING on the field (had players ejected in 3 of the 4 previous games ...... all 1 goal losses). They look rejuvenated with Jeffries gone, and with KC not looking like they are gonna get another point this season, Dallas still is not out of this thing ......... believe it or not.

The worst MLS teams ever are listed at this thread (as far as I'm concerned). '99 Metros are the Champs at futility (and will remain so after this year regardless of Dallas future match schedule).

Ida know. The '96 Rapids and '96 Revs were pretty awful. Can't go strictly by record. In '96, Colorado was derisively referred to as ``The Vapids''. We've come a long way (since '96) baby.
