FIFA and US Soccer put out an "official licensed" book (translate that as "expensive") that covered the history of women's soccer, heavy on the '91'ers and '99'ers, but also dealing with the women referees and international standouts like Carolina Morace, Pretinha, and Kelly Smith.

Formerly $20, you may find it a New England Book Fair in Needham, MA for under $5 now. Check the discount sports books waaayyyy in back. (Copies of soccer classics like "Soccer in Sun and Shadow" and "Miracle of Castel di Sangro" may be found there, too.)

Santa left a copy in my stocking. ;) Nice winter reading and great pics of hot summer days past and future.
