I'm kinda shocked to hear you say this. I wouldn't have thought you'd want to lend the Fire name to an indoor team. But being a fan of indoor, and knowing Peter Wilt's love of indoor, maybe it's possible. It would be a great place for retired players like Klopas and Soehn to go for a couple years. And the MISL does seem like it is finally getting its act together.

I'm not a real fan of indoor (though i probably would follow a Chicago indoor team) but they've at least changed the rules in MISL to be more reasonable (no multi-pt goals) and I would bet a few Fire players play their offseason with this team.

And I would like them to be the Fire too, because I'm not a fan of the fracturisation of soccer in this country. I think it's great we lend our name and image to a PDL team and a youth club. It doesn't dilute the brand and image, it only serves to expand it. Naming the Chicago indoor entry "Heat" or "Wind" or whatever they might come up with would only serve to dilute the sport in the city (and yes I am of the mind indoor is a different sport than outdoor but the press and public don't make that distiction). Having a true "club", where there are Fire outdoor, indoor, youth, and development teams even if only related by name, helps the brand image.

Heck, maybe we can put them in Bridgeview too :)

Definitely has to be FIRE. Or what about "Sting," now that I think about it? There was an MISL team in the 80's called the Sting, correct?

That was the same NASL Sting, or at least a continuation of them.

Heck, if the Sting could have a namesake play outdoor and indoor concurrently, why can't there be outdoor and indoor Fire teams?

    Section 8 Goes Year-Round? :p
