how about dividng up the defenders by position and the attacking midfielders.

    wingers:
    vincente
    robben
    joaquin
    duff
    cronaldo

but this depends on if ronaldinho and nedved are considered wingers?

    i'm
Casillas and Cech better than Buffon? Campbell is very good (I wouldn't rate him better than Puyol and Nesta) but COLE above Nesta. Cole is young and talented but he is not the best at this time, without a doubt not better than Nesta and Puyol.

Since it would be sort of wrong for me to really criticize without putting my top 5's out. I mostly agree with Todos for the rest (not in the mood to nitpick).

    Best defenders:

    1. Nesta
    2. Puyol
    3. Ayala
    4. Ferdinand
    5. Carvalho

i really liked your inclusion of just a central mid position, and a lits of guys, especially lampard who fit it. my question is, i have seen egrrard listed as a dmid, wouldnt he fit in as more of just CM? who else fits? i like your choices though, good post

dida cannot be on the keepers list.
gerrard would go ahead of xavi on the CM list.
I wouldn't include Nesta. Hasn't played well as of late.
Robben has played well for a month, not enough to be amongst the best in the world.
Henry, Etoo, RVN, adriano Makaay for the forwards

CM is pretty open, i put lampard in and realised he isn't really a DM so changed it to CM. gerard would fit, CM's can attack and defend so some DM would probably fit as well.

i have contrididcted myself in places, i was going for best at the moment which is why i left out gerrard (who hasn't played for a few months) and kaka but then included dida and nesta who i haven't seen for a while. they should be replaced but sheva is the last player i am gonna drop from the strikers list, especially for henry who by his own admission isn't at his best.
