The first night of Passover was last night. A couple of friends of my family's -- non religious Jews -- observe Passover in their own way. Their Haggadah begins with the story of the Exodus, but then goes into the labor movement and the stories of various peoples' liberation. Not a new concept, especially among Reform Jews, but one of the

If your family has it's own Haggadah, what stories are told? If not, what stories would make the most sense for you and your family's history?

    Great question.

I wish I knew the story of my ancestors immigration to this country. I think it correlates well to the Passover story and it would be personal as opposed to the Exodus "happened long, long ago, can't really believe it" kind of way.

How Confederate Jews celebrated Passover and their people's freedom from slavery while justifying their own slave ownership.

How Egyptian babies and children had no say in the actions of their parents and should not have been forced to suffer/die.

One thing that I've heard about that I like are the ten modern plagues of the world that must be overcome.
