Do these women watch Man U alot ? i think their style of play is similar to Man U, especialy when they were wearing white short and red shirt against Germany last time

Do you mean style of uniform? That was the only similarity I could discern between Man Utd and the USWNT.

Unlike the USWNT under April, Man Utd doesn't require set pieces to score, and their defenders and midfielders pass the ball around the field. My goodness, I've routinely seen Man Utd score at the end of a dozen-pass (or more) sequence. In the WWC, April H. did not exactly emphasize building up an attack. It was more of a kick-and-run game.

Maybe Man U wanna be ? but, they attack often through the flank just like the Man U always does

Lots of teams attack through the flanks, but Man U can attack through anywhere - just like most other good teams in the world can - whereas *all* we did was run to touch and put in a lofted cross.

I just wonder how much soccer you've watched if you think we played like Man U against Germany. And I don't mean that in a rude way. Don't get me wrong.

offcourse they don't play 100% look like but, some of their run of plays remind me of Man U, i remember before some people said that Mac Millan is Beckham of women soccer, i true believe that she is great w/ the ball

Well said! This is how I would describe all female soccer: they just kick (when they are lucky to hit the ball) and run. No sequences of articulated passes, nothing. My husband and I were watching US x Sweden, and we started counting how many passes until the ball was out: ha, no more than 2 passes! I am from Brazil, where we are used to watch a beautiful "football", the male one. Down there, noone cares about female soccer, including women like me, because it just sucks.

you don't like women soccer because your team sucks ! never made it to the knock round pace....my great great grand father said male soccer sucks too in its early days, woman soccer has not been around for that long but, i believe one day it'll be huge just like their counterpart, if Brazil do not take woman soccer seriously, they will be disappearing from high level competition in the future.

Ha, you cannot be serious! I don't like female soccer in general, as I said, they ALL suck, not only the Brasil team. Our female national team could have won thie World Cup and nobody would care at all in Brasil. The public and the press, do you get it? Now about your comment that Brasil will be disappearing from female high level competition, so what? Anyway, it is more probable that the female competition will disappear in the future... I like Brazilian and European male football. Even MLS is getting better and "watchable". But female soccer just sucks, wherever it is from.

hey i just warn you people ! i'm trying to help you guys, to remind you its better late than never, so start loving it, give them support, one day when one of your players lift up the WC throphy you'll feel sorry and tank me for what i've said, by the way what a shame that you came from Brasil, the country that said treat soccer just like a second religion. Remember this, to support doesn't have to like it, just be tolerance, i'm sure someday, when the quality of woman soccer raise, you'll like it as much as you like men's, believe me.....

Why is it a shame I came from Brasil AND I don't like female soccer? You are right, in my country we do treat soccer like a religion. It is our national passion, but we are talking about male soccer. We like the beautiful game when it is played beautifully. And I don't think that to support means to be tolerant. You support what you like. And I and millions in my country and around the world don't like female soccer. Even if one day the female soccer Brazilian team won any Cup, they will still be playing a ugly soccer. It is not about "raise quality', it is about skills, velocity, coordination. In soccer, men have it, women don't.

ok, let me tell you one more thing, one day the likes of Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos (my fav players) won't be able to perform any more due to their ages, leaving only Ronaldinho alone out there while Diego & couple from U-17 are not ready yet, than you guys have nothing to hold on to, unless you begin to support your fellow women now, than you will continue your tradition..and be proud as a Brasilian.

Haha, you really don't know what you are talking about. In Brasil (and any other country with good soccer) the talents will always be renewed, because the whole male population plays soccer. We don't need to rely on female soccer to keep playing good soccer. And you know what? It is obvious that you are just a naive girl that doesn't know anything about soccer or its world history. Keep dreaming that the USWMT adopted the Man U style of play (ha, you had to chose one of the best teams in the world for your silly comments?). And in 5 years, if this board still exists, you come back and we will talk about the future of soccer, and we will check if Brasil is still playing a good male soccer. We may even chat about the ashes of the female soccer, which will probably follow the WUSA destiny, ok? Have a good day.

Perhaps it's because they both have big, skilled center forwards who are good at scoring goals and falling down in the penalty area? ;)

 I've been really nice about some of the ignorant crap you've posted, but this takes the cake. How old are you? 14? You are one of the most clueless supporters I've never come in contact with. Brazil has marvelous players at every level. They won't have any problems replacing any of the their aging stars. Ronaldinho isn't playing that well at the moment, while others on his U23 team are pushing towards spots with the full national team.

Can she be trolling? Stupid? 12 years old?

If you're not one of the three you should probably commit hara-kiri.

Exactly, CrazyYank, there always will be many good players to replace the ones geting older. And not only from the U23 or U17 teams, but also some players that come from the "little schools of football" that the clubs maintain there. If I am not mistaken (please correct me if I am wrong) Kaka started as a player in the Sao Paulo FC "school" then became a professional in his team and now is playing for our "selecao" (the national team). So no worries about that....

You guys struggled during last year's WC qualifying almost didn't make it to Japan, and eventhough Brasil came out as the champion in the end but, i did not impress at all, the best team Brasil has were during Pele era and Romario's and the under 17 (i like Diego & Robinho) is a little promising but, the latest Brasilian team is full of overatted players ( not all but most of them) but, I still like some of them though..

You really think that you know something about soccer, don't you? Like CrazyYank said, you are just clueless!! So Brazil just have lots of overrated players?? Sour grapes, right? Listen, someone may think that you are talking about the USWNT! Go watch some videos and learn a little about soccer history. You may find out that Brasil always had problems with the team at home, even when they win the press and public is not happy. They said Pele was finished in '70. But then they go to the WC and win it 5 times so far. Overrated players, haha...

If you have all this information available at home, you have no excuse to still be so ignorant about soccer. If you have any clue at all, stop comparing your female team to any male team, about style, victorys, or whatever. You consider Brasil overrated and "lucky" for wining the last WC, and you say they did not impress you at all. But you consider the USWNT the best female team around (I read some of your posts in other threads), and just "unlucky" on the WC. Your female team plays against what, maybe 20 other countries in the whole world, for maybe less than 20 years? They faced no competition for a long time, they should still be the first, and yet they barely made 3rd place. And you dare compare this female aging, overrated, and arrogant team to any male team! Male soccer is a sport played by the whole world, every single country, with tons of international and local games. Apples and oranges, but you keep comparing. Face the facts: male and female soccer just share the same name, soccer, but they are two completely different sports, in skills, speed, coordination and audience (men have all that, women don't). If you cannot see that, I will upgrade you from a naive clueless girl to a complete idiot.

I already told you good bye days ago, but you keep posting like you have something to say, or like a kid that must have the last word. Good thing you realized that your comments just keep adding to how clueless you are. Go back to your other threads and alike supporters that dream that a female jobless player can play in Italian Serie A...

reginars, you are the one who compared women to men soccer, you said, " I don't like women soccer, its too slow, only two touches and ball goes out blah blah blah.., unlike men soccer that is faster etc etc " , and if you don't like women soccer why bother to be in women soccer thread. I did not say Brasil was lucky to win the last WC, i said i did not impress.
