Taylor Twellman and Brian Kamler (I think?) made a brief appearance on the NESN Red Sox broadcast tonight talking with the "in the stands" reporter. Apparently there was a little deal where they exchanged jerseys with Red Sox players as some sort of promotion. They mentioned Nomar, Mia the Women's World Cup and the game on Thursday. Twellman did not look like a freakish reconstructed Frankenstein which I suppose is good. Twellman said he predicted Ortiz's homer. Seems like good work by either the Revs, league or somebody. Good pub on a highly rated sports broadcast. Twellman and Kamler came across as funny and likable. Got as many plugs for as many different things as possible. Well done, IMO.
It was Twellman and Kamler. Tom Caron asked Twellman, "will you be back in action this week?" Twellman replied "yeah, we have a game Thursday night in Foxboro at 7:30". I was hoping Caron was asking if Twellman himself would be ready to play, but Twellman sounded like he answered for the team.
Well at least Taylor wasn't wearing his Twins hat if he's mugging it up with the Sox. Both he and Kamler are Cardinals fans, and they were at the game (rooting for the wrong team) when the Cardinals came to town earlier this year. I dunno Taylor's connection to the Twins, although his father was playing on the same field as them back when Taylor was just a wee laddie. Tom
Someone make sure to tell Bill Mueller that the kit in his hands is much more valuable than the ones he gave the Revs players. After all ... you can actually buy Red Sox jerseys. Monty
St. Louis Boys Where are the other two St. Louis boys, they must have been buying the peanuts and cracker jacks?
Today's papers had Twellman being ready for this Thursday...so I think TnT was responding for himself....whether he actually plays or is held in reserve is another matter, the team seems to be saying that he has clearance to play.
