I'm currently planning to come over to your side of the pond from England...with one of the main purposes being to watch a game in the MLS.

Now i know the geoegraphy between the teams but not the details on who hates who etc...(if you don't have them its not worth having a league) :)

I don't really mind where it is and i know you probably never sell out your Stadiums....so which game (s) do you suggest?

    Big Rivalries

    DC vs Metros
    Chicago vs Dallas
    San Jose vs LA

    Lesser Rivalries

    DC vs LA

    Teams Nobody Cares About

    Colorado
    New England
    Columbus
    Kansas City

So you'll want to go to one of the big games in the first group or maybe the second. DC doesn't play the Metros again after this Wednesday - unless they meet in the post-season. Dallas - Chicago just wrapped up too. But the San Jose - LA rivalry is still ongoing this year. Indeed I think they're home and home at the very end of the season.

Now if you're coming over next season then I'd take in a weekend DC - Metros match in Washington DC. Why? Simple. Those matches are always heated and the supporters are the best in the league. Alternatively, you could go to a match in Los Angeles at the brand new Home Depot Center. It's the best soccer stadium in the states. If you went there I'd suggest any match between LA and San Jose or DC.

Whatever you decide DO NOT go to any Dallas home games. Just don't. At least not until they get their new stadium. But right now ... don't go.

Now if you're just going for a well played game then this year you'd have to throw Colorado in there too. They're playing some nice soccer. But things change fast in this league and this years top team is often next year's bottom dweller. So who knows ...

... but the rivalries always remain the same.

Now wait just a minute. What is wrong with the Crew stadium? The first soccer only stadium in the USA. We have alot of fun here in the midwest.

Oh, I'm sorry, but that's incorrect. We have some lovely parting gifts for you, though.

So I've take it you've read FourFourTwo's World Football supplement this month, eh? :D

Fly out tonight for tomorrow's DC-Metro match and stand with La Barra Brava and The Screaming Eagles. You'll have a good time.

That's right. And actually come to think of it a really nice soccer trip in the USA would be to go to an MLS game at RFK and then swing down to Charleston to see the reigning A-League champions at Blackbaud Stadium.

While The Battery is Division 2 soccer here in the States, we have a always had a solid team. We have a few British players this season you may have heard of: Barry Moore of Wokin, Dino Maarmia of Stevanage, and of course you've heard of Terry Phelan. It is near perfect pitch and we have a great pub packed with soccer memrobillia from around the world. The top link is of the Three Lions pub in the Stadium and the bottom link is of the Championship match and show several crowd type pics.

enjoy and if you come around let me know if you need any help.

I think the Baud was first.

    from the Battery website

    And from the Crew website

Either way they are both excellent venues. I like Crew stadium for the concessions being in the corners and still being able to view the pitch

The Baud for its closeness to the pitch and the Three Lions pub is by far the best collection of soccer memrobillia by far.

The Crew stadium is a lot of fun, and like you said you can go for a brewsky and not miss any thing. The WWC was alot of fun there.
So being as it is in my backyard. I love the Crew, and any team that beats the Fire.
