Unless you know of restaurant or bar that gets the TVE(I) feed you're hosed. The good news is that next weekend GolTV will be showing on tape delay the return leg in Norway which will be played on Wednesday. You may want to see if TV Galicia will show the game live on their internet site.

Saludos Aupa Espanha y viva er beti manque lopera!

I know that the Fox & Hounds in Studio City, CA will carry both legs of the Spain v Norway match. Plus they show La Liga games every weekend.

I am very optimistic about the game.I think Reyes and Fernando Torres are going to play a superb game.

    Steffen Iversen!!

Norway got off to a great start in this match when Steffen Iversen scored the first goal of the match in the 14th minute. The last time Norway played Spain, it was during group play in Euro2000 and Norway won 1-0 with Iversen scoring the winning goal.

I feel very confident that the Norwegians will return back from their trip to Spain with at least 3 points this weekend and then get at least another 3 points in the return legs played against Spain in Norway. ;)

    Norwegian Matchtracker

The Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang is giving regular updates of today's match at this website:

    VG NETT - LIVE!

I'm not sure if there will be any matchtracker updates of tomorrow's Euro2005 qualifying match between Norway and Spain, but I wasn't planning on being up between 03.00 and 04.55 on a Sunday morning anyways. :D

Marca has the goal listed an an own goal from Berg. This was almost a repeat of the Greece game. Spain was in complete control of the whole game with 30 shots to 4. The Norway goalie Johnsen really played big tonight. Fortunately, it wasn´t quite big enough.

Assist by Joaquin, good stuff ! Spanish defense looked a little porous though.

I'm worried about wednesday, too bad their goalie pretended he was Jesus at the end of the game and made some holy saves, because a 3-1 would have been so much better.

Big chances for Raul and Torres which they really should have made, 100% goal scoring opportunities.

Reyes was great the first half, not so later in the game when he wasn't to be found on the sides, but was in the midfield most of the time. Actually Etxeberria wasn't as dangerous in the 2nd half as he was in the 1st either: Joaquin and Vicente to the rescue though :D

Defense looked really bad. The Norwegians only made 4 shots on goal, but one went in, and two others needed good saves by Casillas to stop them from going in (i.e. defenders not stopping the attacker when they should) With a little better defending they wouldn't even have made 1 shot at goal.

I still don't see why Raul, Torres and Valeron can't play at the same time. Goddammit.

Definite Home Field Advantage At Ullevål Stadion

After scoring first I'm a bit disappointed that the Norwegians didn't get at least a draw, but considering the shot advantage that Spain had, I guess I really should feel very fortunate with today's result.

The description of the performance by Espen Johnsen reminds me a bit of how Thomas Myhre played against Spain when Norway won 1-0 in their previous meeting. If Johnsen and the rest of the Norwegian squad can duplicate that Euro2000 effort next Wednesday at Ullevål Stadion then it will be the Norwegians who will advance on to the European Championships. I expect that it will be much colder in Oslo next week than the Spaniards are used to, so that should help Norway's chances to come away with a 1-0 victory even more.

    Norway Plays Spain Again Tomorrow

The Norwegian men weren't able to get a point today, but I still expect the Norwegian women to win easily over Spain in their Euro2005 qualifying match in Madrid tomorrow. In the latest FIFA rankings, the Norwegian women are ranked third, while Spain is ranked 20th. I predict a 5-0 victory for Norway's women tomorrow and of course I am predicting a 1-0 victory for the Norwegian men on Wednesday.

1- Why is Spains best central defender( a right-footer) playing left-back?
2- Why is Tristan not in the squad?
Is it possible that Saez is ideologically committed to playing almost only young players, ignoring veterans that could still be useful ?

    1. Probably because Saez doesn't have much faith in the other players that could start as a Lb, I'd rather see Puyol as a cb alongside Helguera as well (which will happen this wednesday most likely)

Don't know why Aranzabal suddenly wasn't selected anymore as the Lb, maybe because of his form in the league  I liked him in the national team though
