At his 27 years birthday party, Ronaldo promissed Rivaldo that he will do what he can to bring Rivaldo to Real Madrid.

Yeah I read that as well. I seriously doubt it will happen though. It doesn't make sense in any category for Madrid to bring Rivaldo to their squad.

Do you think Rivaldo will go back to Brazil and play or will he stay in Europe?

He said it at his party with Rivaldo sitting right by him if I'm not mistaken, probably meant it more 'jokingly' than actually being serious.

If he was serious, I hope Florentino has enough sense to not actually try to get this overrated player to Madrid. Don't make the same mistake Milan made. :D

    here's the article in english:

"Soccer-Ronaldo asks Real president to sign Rivaldo - report

In RIO DE JANEIRO item headlined Soccer-Ronaldo asks Real president to sign Rivaldo - report, please read in penultimate para...including Rivaldo's AC Milan team mates...(not Ronaldo's).

    A corrected repetition follows:

RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Ronaldo has asked Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to sign disgruntled Brazil international Rivaldo from AC Milan, the Jornal do Brasil newspaper said on Tuesday.

The report said that the two players spoke during Ronaldo's 27th birthday party in Madrid on Monday when Ronaldo promised to do everything he could to persuade Perez to sign his team mate from Brazil's 2002 World Cup winning side.

It added that the pair left the house for a game on Ronaldo's private mini-golf course and that Ronaldo phoned Perez to prove that he was serious.

"I'm going to talk to my president and Rivaldo will be happy with us here at Real," the newspaper quoted Ronaldo as saying.

Rivaldo has been repeatedly left on the bench by AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti and said in an interview published on Monday that he felt he was being humiliated.

The Jornal do Brasil newspaper published photographs from Ronaldo's birthday and listed other players who flew in, including Rivaldo's AC Milan team mates Dida and Kaka.

A samba group led by Ronaldinho, who plays for Real's arch-rivals Barcelona, provided the music.

Holy crap, the guests at the birthday party would comprise a team better than our entire national team!

Ronaldo would be happy for all his mates from the Brazil squad to be with him at Madrid. He spoke out in favor of Ronaldbuckteeth coming to Madrid as well. I wouldn't pay it too much mind.

Why not play him instead of Pavon? Or Casillas? After all Real don't need to defend.

In the last years it has been very easy. They have done the work themselves, they haven't needed any extra help.;)

Vieri and Seedorf also came from Milan to the Ronaldo party.

And I think that what Ronaldo said about Rivaldo was a "joke" to the journalists that were of his house entrance. At least i hope so. Anyway, i don't think that he has to many influence over Florentino in that things.

    Rivaldo officially out at Milan:

If Real sign him the Barca people will really be steaming! :)
    Ex-Barca players at Madrid:
Ronaldo, Figo, Rivaldo (if he comes here)

I guess they hate Figo the most because it was a direct transfer.
