Revs Release Two SI's

    I'm hoping this is not due to the July 1st guaranteed contract date but instead due to the fact that they've got someone on their mind ... but Cassio and Brillant both gone.

    Good move by the Revs. Clears up cap space - maybe they can get another SI or 2 after August 15.

    Cassio, I don't think ever got a shot. He did look decent when he played though. Brillant, I liked watching play, he was a fun hustling little guy like me.

    This has gotta be more about roster slots than cap space.

    SI's gotta play - if a team has an SI consistently on the bench it means:

    A. The player is not that good
    B. The coach made a dumb move
    C. The players days are numbered

    Or some combination of the above.

    If I'm not mistaken, Brillant was signed as a YI. Once he became an SI, his days were numbered.

    Cassio? I thought he was pretty good, at least good enough to retain for the season.
