    Candidatos.
    Aguirre (de nuez)
    Vucetich
    Luis Fernando Tena
    Hugo Sanchez
    Alfredo Tena
    Miguel Herrera
    Ignacio Trelles :D

    Extranjeros
    Bianchi
    Capello
    Rijkaard
    Cruyff
    Bielsa
    Tuca
    Eriksson

Any other you think of ?

Besides the Copa Libertadores, De La Torre hasnt done much with Santos.. Dont even remind me of his time with Chivas. Miguel Herrera has proven to be a better coach. There should be no doubt that Hugol is the best coach at the moment..

I would like to see Pumas and Monterrey (Hugo and Miguel Herrera) in Copa Libertadores to see how the teams perform against foreign clubs.

I think it is a clue on how well they can do with a National Team.
Look at Meza, he had all the success you could ask for with Toluca, in our league. But when playing in international tournaments Toluca didn't cut it. Same happened with the National Team he seemed to be out of sorts on the intenational scene.

I forgot to add Jose Luis Trejo on the Mexican coaches. He did very well in Copa Libertadores.
I would like to see a coach that does a good job for several seasons in our league (like Meza did) but also to have some kind of success in international tournments.

Hugo would be the best guy to try and get Mexico over that hump we have had in terms of mentality. As for player selection or tactics, I'm not sure, I'd have to see.

But I know he would command a lot of respect to the players getting called. Definately more than they have now for you know who.

Ericksson, I'm not so high on him, he may be okay, but you'd have to pay him absolute gobs of money to get him out of Europe.

they dont need to know anything about mexico. its not like its rocket science. if anything a foreigner would do a better job in picking the best players at the time. they surely wouldnt be calling up some hasbeen they didn know

but i still would prefer aguirre, herrera or hugo it has to be one of these three

l think these should show how biased things have becomed around here. Anybody that doesn´t have Hugo as one of the candidates is a clown or biased. The guy has risen UNAM, is the champion and is right now one of the best coaches out there. If Hugo wants the job, he will probably be the next one. Other guys are Aguirre (who probably won´t return), Herrerra, Trejo and Arias. But some are just jokes. Yayo de la Torre? What has the guy done but fail at Chivas and have Santos as crap. Sure he did well in Libertadores before getting robbed, but it wasn´t that great ouf a performance. Not enough to saved him from the poor league play and defintely not close to even come close to the candidates I mentioned. Anybody who doesn´t have Hugo as one of the candidates is insane.

My first candidate was Bielsa but he decided to stay in Argentina and from the list of coaches the FMF gave out the one i most liked was Bianchi. Hugo didnt impress me at the time but we can all see his steady progress in the past two years..

No i dont.. I used to enjoy his daily segment in Radio Unica only because he would piss off central americans, lol..

Hugo is a divisive person who will have half the players thinking like him and the other half resenting him ,that doesnt make him a good coach .

If you analyze DeLaTorres style of play and use of resources ,he is a VERY
smart strategist . He Also is not a central figure in a game while on the sidelines ,which the players on his team really do apreciate .DeLaTorre does not have the results yet but they will come soon enough .

Who was Aguirre as a coach before Pachuca ? Do you guys like his style of play ,or are you impressed by his results in Spain (without Mexican Players ) ? DO you think his strategy Vs. the USA in the WC was the right strategy ?
