Just so I can get a count. If there are enough people, I'll see about arranging a tailgate or an afterparty.
I will be at the game, but I'm gonna go to the Fire game first -- I suggest everyone else does as well. Will it be possible to leave in between games and then re-enter? I'd love to meet up with some people pre-game...
I'll be at the game, in Section 8. Unfortunatley kaberon and Lisa, they do not allow re-entry if you exit the stadium, unless you have credentials. Also, remember that you can't bring in bags (bookbags, camara bags, ect.) or umbrellas. They will take them away, so leave them in the car. It Should be a great crowd, so have fun.
Weather.com predicts a high of 89 and a low of 66, partly cloudy. We're in the middle of a bit of a drought, so this sounds pretty consistent with the weather we've been having. With the obligatory, "cooler by the Lake". http://www.weather.com/outlook/events/sports/weather/tenday/60605?eventid=158197&epc=WXSP
I'll be at the game w/ 3 others. Plus I hope to be at the City Hall press conference in 20 minutes. Gotta jet!
Good for you. They can be real dicks when they want to be though. It's on the list of banned items though, so they CAN deny you entry with them. It's worth a shot i guess. The worst that will happen is that you'd have to run back to the car.
Well, there were about 4,000 people at Soldier Field for the Real practice. Oh, and I happen to catch Real as they were exiting City Hall. There were about 150+ waiting for them as they left the press conference. Maybe three or four cops to help with crowd control. The first elevator opened and out walked, Figo, Owen, Ronaldo and Zidane. That's alot of talent in one elevator! All were extremely nice, particularily Beckham. He took extra time for pictures and autographs. He was near one of the City Hall info booths. I could over hear someone asking what all the commotion was. The info booth lady replied, "Oh, it's just some soccer team." Welcome to America!
