    Fifa world rankings

It wrong for Portugal to be so low. What people do not realize is that fifa takes the total records of the teams last 7yrs and by importance of games played. So Portugal has played a ton of friendly"s
so that is why Portugal is 17 in the world.

the fifa ranking stuff is so dumb....

    most matches now are friendlies....

These stupid rankings cause trainers to play for a win because they do not want to fall in these dumb rankings. In reality, these are exhibition games where national sides should be finding out about their teams (youngsters. position changes, new call-ups, etc....). The rankings should not take into account ANY results from exhibitions. It should only take into account FIFA-sanctioned tournaments. This "friendlies" just put trainers and fans on egg-shells. Maybe we should have more international tournaments (of course then the players will be playing like 5 games a week then)?

Seriously, does anybody (besides the people that live in those respective countries, of course) believe Ireland, Denmark and Turkey have better sides than the Portuguese?

We need to do well in euro 2004 at least the semi finals and everything will be back to normal.

I don't think people care too much about the FIFA rankings. Felipao is more concerned about preparing the team for Euro 2004 and getting new players in the Seleccao.

And yes, Turkey is a better team than Portugal right now.
