According to the Center Circle section on the Revs website:

    "Playoff Tickets
Revolution playoff tickets go on sale Wednesday, October 15th. To order your tickets, call 1-877-GET-REVS."

Other years the Revs have sent ST holders letters about a playoff series package deal. Anyone get anything? Or was that just when MLS Cup was here?

I got my letter asking me to re-up and see the locker room but nada about playoffs. Time to give 'em a call, but really, we shouldn't have to be the ones to initiate the sale....

My season tix pkg. includes three tickets to Playoff Game #1 (I have three tickets to the Fort for the season). I would assume every other season holder has the same.

All season ticket holders have playoff home game 1, the only game we would need to buy is the Conferance Final.

If you ask me....the "new" revs front office is loaded with boneheaded decisions...esp as they pertain to playoffs.

Like it or not, we (for those of us that are season ticket holders) are the BEST salespeople they have. IF they make a playoff related mailing and let us know we can get tix for people at a cheaper price...groups, non-groups, whatever....i guarantee that they will have more people there than just putting tix on sale thru ticketbastard and having no communication with the st's.

Frankly, the revs were in the po's so infrequently for most of the time i've had tix, that i can't remember what the pre-gillette policy was. somehow, i seem to remember getting cheaper than normal group tix for mls cup last year...maybe that's wrong.

Nonetheless, other than being strictly a cheerleader for the club....i have no real incentive to "go after" my sphere of soccer loving friends. However, it is a fact, that i've been able to put together pretty large groups of people...when those people think they're "getting a deal" thru me (over and above the std group and/or single ticket price).

Now, i don't necessarily like being a "ticket broker" but all i can really do is send out an email and let people know when the dates come around....and that doesn't really seem to get them to the stadium somehow.

I know...there's lots of factors involved here....but personally, i think its no mistake that this season there's been the biggest disconnect between the front office and the season ticket holders of any season i've been around and there happens to be an avg attendance of 14,794 for an 11-9-9 team (3rd in overall pts)....compared to the 2001 (last in foxboro stadium season) where the team was 7-14-9 and pulled 15,654.

If they're being so "cheap" that they can't keep the st's "rolling with the mls cause"....then it seems to me, that the st's just worry about themselves and do little to get others out there.

Lastly, they really need to make the last game of the season (usually with metros) a bigger deal. promote the game by showing past highlights a games prior, make the match a giveaway night and/or some promotional thing, or best of all....let the st's use any "unused" tix to dole out to people (with some number restrictions of course). for that game, you'd have a great atmosphere, could bang out 25k+, and have a captive audience to promote the playoff picture and tix to.

nice guys or not over there.....they don't give a damn about making the season or especially the playoffs about "atmosphere"....just keepin' the overhead down and makin' sure the cleanup crew can start sweeping the stadium 20 mins after the final whistle.
