    On Zlatan where art thou?
    No show? Et tu Zlatan?
If the Rapids play the La Galaxy in the middle of The Dick, and Zlatan isn't there, do they make a sound?
Is Zlatan real, or just a figment of our imagination?
    I could go on.
Rapids host the Galaxy at the Dick, Saturday, at 7PM.
Discuss pre, in-game, and post game here. I'll be there, in good seats, to see Zlatan! Duh!

Is Zlatan formulating his run for President instead? ;)

I know he's in the MLS penalty box for skipping ASG.

That's what I wanted to see this weekend (and yes, that means I don't care how the Rapids do, season is lost anyway)!!!

Yes, the season is lost, but I do want the Rapids to win and win and win.

As much as I'd like to see the Zlatan in person, I'm going to be keeping my eyes on the Rapids' newcomers such as Acosta and Barnes (if he's healthy). And of course like all others here I will be evaluating the effectiveness of the line-up/formation.

I am interested to see Acosta; but I don't care about winning, I just want to be entertained.

Rapids sent me an email with the subject line "Will Kellyn make his home MLS debut against LA?"

They were probably really bummed to have to change that from "Will Zlatan make his Rapids debut?

Wait, it's not tonight? Thread title says 8/3, but also Saturday. I'm so confused!

    CAMUUUUUUUSSSSSS!

I was looking forward to intentionally not watching it tonight, but now I'm going to have to miss watching it for a good reason tomorrow.

With Dom gone an Barnes out injured, who's going to get off shots? Acosta from an advanced midfield role? McBean or Nicholson? Maybe Serna's worked his way out of the doghouse and we can get some production out of him.

I'm seeing a 2-1 loss, goal by McBean with four yellow cards for the Rapids.

With this season well beyond over, I would love to see us adopt a “What the hell do we have to lose” mentality with some of our lineup selections.

Things that I know aren’t going to happen but I would still love to see tonight:

    1. Gashi and Boli start up front. McBean is a known (and limited) commodity. Barnes is hurt. Badji is gone. I still have no idea if Boli is worth a damn. He has barely seen the field and when he has, was the victim of a 9-0-1 formation. Start Gashi and Boli. See what happens. What the hell do we have to lose?

    2. Start Marlon or Serna at RB. Time to figure out if our future RB is on this roster. One thing I know for sure, it sure as hell isn’t going to be Kort Ford. He’s a big part of our future....at CB. Let Marlon and Serna battle it out on the right side for the rest of the season. What the hell do we have to lose?

    3. Play an actual attack minded midfielder at CAM at the top of the diamond....You know, because what the hell do we have to lose?

Not optimistic about this game. 2-1 loss. Goal by McBean. I’ll be drowning my tears in beers in section 126.

Based on recemt lineups, I thought we already had hit the "what do we have to lose " point and were trying everything put....

Boli not even in the 18. Didn’t appear in any injury reports all week either. Unbelievable waste of money.

Still starting Ford at RB which makes no sense.

    Still starting McBean <sigh>

The key to our attack is still getting Castillo free up the left wing. Other than that we don't have much threat to offer. I like Nicholson's effort and attacking mentality but...1goal and 1 assist in 14 matches.

Complete cluster in the back and 0-1 to LAG. Ford lets a ball go with Smith behind him, Smith plays it directly to Alessandrini who shoots past a screened Howard.

    1. Give Smith an assist on the goal. grrrrr.
    2. There's a big defensive falloff without Sjoberg.
    3. How was that not a penalty?

I didn't think it was a PK - maybe some contact but not enough for a penalty. Kinda evening things out from the PK on minimal contact last weekend.
