Roger Toussaint is sentenced to jail, union may collapse if it looses automatic deduction, workers docked several days pay! Well done, Roger!

"a TWU spokesman denied that Toussaint has a reputation for partying at posh Manhattan restaurants and Brooklyn nightclubs. Jesse Derris added that Toussaint does not have a chauffeur - the labor leader drives a union-financed SUV himself." All he should get is a Metrocard!

"The jail stint may end up benefiting Toussaint, who is up for reelection late this year, by turning him into a living martyr and boosting his standing, a union dissident glumly said yesterday." Instead of "Letter from a Birmingham Jail", we'll get "Roger at Riker's".

    'Goin' ta Jail' party: http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/67418.htm
"labor leaders announced yesterday there would be a march across the Brooklyn Bridge to accompany Toussaint from the courthouse to his jail cell at the Manhattan House of Detention." Why not take the subway or a bus?
