AC Milan have reportedly opened talks with Lazio over Nesta. After failing to capture Cannavaro, they are going after his teammate and have already opened talks. More details on www.soccerage.com

Milan have confirmed that they are in negotiations with Lazio to sign Alessandro Nesta.

After missing out on Fabio Cannavaro, the Milan board have turned their attentions to his Italian international team-mate and a statement on the club's official site confirmed the interest, while acknowledging that the two sides are some way apart.

"Sergio Cragnotti met Adriano Galliani this morning," read the statement. "AC Milan is more than willing to close the deal, even though offer and counteroffer are still way apart."

It's not gonna happen. If Milan didn't have enough cash for Cannavaro I don't see how they could get Nesta who(according to Cragnotti) is double the value of Cannavaro. They would have to sell quite a few players to fund it.

hmmmm if they want to add a quality player like Nesta they should be able to put a boatload of money, maybe they thought in Milan that Canna wanted to play for them and it was a piece of cake to sign him but he proved otherwise.
