I just noticed that MLSnet has up their playoff site with MLS Cup tickets on sale.

It looks as though United will at least have a run at it this year.

Is there a group getting together that's going to the Cup regardless of who's playing? I think I'm going to make the trip to LA no matter what. This is especially for those United fans on the West Coast who would like to make part/whole drive down to LA (79 United, where are ye?). We can save a little money on the tickets and it's always nice to hang out pregame/postgame/midgame/tailgate with other United fans.

    Anyone?

The Screaming Eagles have already purchased a package of airline tickets and a group block of game tickets. Once we firm up the hotel (which should happen within a day or two), we'll be announcing our package.

The cost, which will include roundtrip flight, 3 nights hotel stay (we're going on Friday afternoon and returning on Monday), and a game ticket, should be between $375 and $400 for members, a little more for non-members.

We've purchased extra game tickets - and we'll have extra hotel space as well - for those who wish to join us but can't come for all three days or are coming from other cities.

Thanks for the heads up. The point regarding car-pooling down still stands though. I live on the Monterey Peninsula and would be willing to drive from there or hop in with anyone who may be coming from points north.
