although i love the crew first I hope he stays till season end to see what he can do. a good link of the game http://www.evertonfc.com/match/fixtures/reports/report.asp?id=5830
your right student wow look at all those posts, no life huh . Your right the Crews no 1 (first MLS season pick) US Nat teamer and MLSer through and throught, IS MLS pertinant. Its only (draft aside) the most exciting thing going in this soccer sahara of the MLS offseason. Your negative comments will carry a little more weight, when you actually contribute something to life OR Support MLS with your $$ (of which im sure their are few). I dont expect you'll see understand for another 15 years.
Re: your right student Yeah, I'm such a loser. 4 posts a day. I gotta get out more. What the hell are you talking about? Negative comments? I'm just saying your thread should be in a different forum. (YA? Hint. Hint. BMB's a Yank and he's playing abroad. Fascinating). No need to fly off the handle and start babbaling incoherent nonsense. Take your rittalin, Garth. And please, spare me your age-smack. It's so unoriginal.
McBride is still under contract w/ MLS. Yes, he is a YA, but he is still playing in MLS. Ward has a hard on for Beaver?
Well he posted a link to the match ABROAD. This match had a YANK in it. Hence the name, YANKS ABROAD.
Boy am I glad I clicked on the link and got to read soooooo much about Brian McBride. Seriously though, whether this thread gets moved or merged or whatever, I think we should talk about his run of form a little. 4 goals in 5 games is pretty good for a player brought in as 'cover'. I haven't watched him play for for Everton yet; has anyone seen his matches? Is he making himself useful in the box, or are chances just falling in his lap? I'll bet his contribution has been even larger than his 4 goals indicate. McBride reminds me a lot of Niall Quinn. When Quinn was with Sunderland, he was very dangerous, and constantly causing problems in the area with his head. But with Ireland, who weren't good enough to get the most out of him, he was pretty invisible much of the time. Perhaps the same thing's happening with McBride...
he is playing the target forward position... niall's position at sunderland. although brian isn't nearly as tall and powerfull as niall, he is just as effective in the air and is an excellent poacher which suites the english game. i knew that he would do good, but i never expected a start like this. i was expecting 2 or 3 goals in his entire stay and maybe some great header work to boot, but brian has truly impressed. one of his goals can be chalked up partly to luck (the overhead kick), but the rest were purely brian creating chances and putting away what was given to him (not much).
