Mallorca sacked Pacheco. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=279030&cc=5901. Is this good or bad news for them? It sounded like Pacheco was new. Any opinions would be appreciated as I still don't know much about this club. Quango
After just 5 games? Geez. I expect that out of the now-no-longer-president Jesus Gil but you'd think Mallorca would have more patience with a new coach.
I thought Pacheco was with Mallorca last year though. Of course, I could be wrong. Interesting that they pulled the trigger on the deal so soon, only 5 games into the season. Then again, Mallorca has certainly underperformed, but they've also lost their playmaker Ibagaza among others. Is it any surprise that they are struggling? Is this the coaches fault?
No he was not it was Gregorio Manzano, here is Pacheco's short bio in Spanish. Pichi
Ah yes, I knew I recognized his name from somewhere, Boavista knocked off Malaga in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Cup last year. Still, only 5 games and he's out. Something else must have been going on behind the scenes, not just a run of bad results.
