The overall record between these two teams on a U20 level is 29 Wins, 4 Ties, and 3 losses for Korea. The game will be played at 7 PM, Nov. 29th (KOR Time) I will try to post a link befoe then so that you guys all can enjoy the game. p.s. Korea team will not have Jung Jo-Guk and Choi Sung Kuk, possibly the top players for the Korean team, while Japan will apparently bring the best squad.
I heard Japan's U20 have been together for a quite a while now. Their teamwork would definately be better than that of Korea's since the Koreans only got together recently for the N.Korea match. No doubt S.Choi and J.Jung's absense will be a wound, but I think there are plenty of attacking options. It's a matter of players playing as a team.
that's called a pre-game insurance and when it's followed by a post-game preemptive attack regardless the outcome of the game, its effect will become quite enormous. however, one should learn that when he uses it everytime, it dilutes the effect significantly and merely becomes a good laugh for his counterparts and bystanders.
Can anybody in Korea update me? The match isnt broadcasted in Japan. How is the score line so far? Thanks.
Korea 1-0 Japan Final The game was played fairly evenly, I guess. Japan controlled the 1st half by 6:4, whereas Korea controlled the 2nd half by 6:4. Japan hit the post once, with usual flurry of chances. And Korea hit the post twice, with Kim Dong-Hyun scoring in the 2nd half. Korean media seemed a little dull too. I think only the 3/4th of the stadium was filled up for the tonight's game. I really don't care about this game or any other friendly matches with Japan. I would trade the last 4 victories over Japan with a slot in the semi-final for the upcoming Youth World Cup in UAE without a heartbeat or a sense of guilt!!!! Damn it!! Do something when it counts, Korea!!!
Off the topic, but I have a weird feeling that it would be Japan who will advance farthest in the Youth WC next month, not Korea. Call me a pessimist, but I think Korea has a tough road against Germany, Paraguay, and USA in the group round.... by the way, who won today between Japan U22 and Hong Kong NT? Who is Japan playing in the group round next month?
i thought the game was going to be played on November not October. maybe i can find a clip from daum cafe.
No, no trashing talking here. A youth game, friendly match... besides, we have a bigger goal of performing in the next month UAE YOUTH WORLD CUP tournament, which I believe we will go out in an usual "three and out" fashion...sigh-.-
this particular Japanese U-20 and Korean U-20 have met quite a lot in a span of less than 2 years. The two met 4 times in which Korea won all 4. The overall stat between Korea's U-20 vs Japan's U-20 is now 20 wins 4 draws and 2 losses for Korea. I'd say it was a good result without Korea's two starting strikers. But then again, Dong-hyun Kim is good enough to compete with the other starter-contender Jokook Jung anyways. Now if only we can get our "Maradona" Sung-kook Choi back from the injury, that would be GREAT. I have a feeling he could be back before the WYC starts, but he'll have to hone up quickly to be ready. Having said that, Korea's U-20 will need to get its act together and get some teamwork. With only about a month left, I'd say the teamwork during the game wasn't crisp at all. Contrast to that, Japan's U-20 squad seemed to have a nice team chemistry going on. We won the game despite missing the Choi-Jung duo up front, and we may have done so using our back-up talents, but it's not going to work well against Germany and Paraguay I think.
Same ol' same ol' I expected a win against Japan(what else is new), but what I was HOPING for was an admirable performance. Frankly, I agree, both team stunk up the joint. South Korea moreso because against weaker opposition, we really have to know how to effectively punish and kill off the match for good instead of living on the edge throughout the match. Which is why I think, as I've stressed before, our teams should stop playing friendlies with Japan and seek South American or European sides. They don't need to be national sides, they can be club sides. But please, just no longer Japan or any other AFC side for friendlies. °æ±â½ÃÀÛ¿Í Á¾·á±îÁö Á¤¸» »ðÁú ÃàÁ¦¿´À½ ÂÁ~ Korean Football, I was just wondering, are Korean posters allowed to start threads written in Korean?
