  1. Putting my '99 homer hat on...

Well at least now the girls won't have to complain about being compared to the '99 team anymore. Because they won shit.

  2. We were excessively chatty for a span of about 3 years...I can tell you when it died: December 2004.

Based on what I've seen/read, only two players had their panties in a bunch over comparisons and continued coverage of the '99 team. Solo and Lloyd. Everyone else either didn't say anything or were respectful.

    for some levity.

kool for laptops, I usually eshop around checking specs and reviews. Then I find the lowest price, go to best buy, have them price match, and put it on my best buy credit card. 18 months interest free. Win/win.

*is confident Jen doesn't want to go there* :D Because if either her or Sauerbrunn got subbed in before the 81st minute, we're a 3-time WWC champion, IMO.

SCF speaks truth. If the attack finished even 1/4 their chances, we don't worry about two goals from Japan at all.

You try to sweep Krieger off the team, I'll cut you! That kid had one helluva tourney. Played every minute of the thing. You know why your beloved Mittsy's ass made a suction cup sound every time she got off the bench at the half and end of the game? Even on in Krieger's worst game of the tourney (the final) she's spades better than The Funk.

The fubared goal is on Buehler. No way should she have crossed a ball across the mouth of the goal like that. Take the easy option and give up a corner. Krieger had about 1/2 second react to the ball from Beuhler.

I'm all caught up and glad to see some old familar faces around (even Pauk...LOL)!

Cheered up my day as I'm still heartbroken over the result of the game yesterday.

    *Applauds* That was beautiful.

I said Buehler was boneheaded when she was out of postion to give Marta the opportuity to go down. I guess many were too emotional to listen. She's like Cat junior. Except Cat was slow but didn't really screw up unless Marta was around.

Oh Pauk...*shakes head*...if Mitts had gotten in before the 81st minute, there would've been no OT or PKs because Japan would've won it in regulation.

I'll go to war over a real defender like Krieger any day. She plays with skill and heart. Moved up my list of fave USWNT players quickly during the tourney.

    Over here!
Right, because we won SO MANY World Cups when Mitts was actively playing on the team...

    ...oh, wait.

Old home week? Good to see some names that have been absent for awhile.

Dammit - way too many emoticons here for this to make it past the bs filters.

Blame it on Scurry. Or Parslow. ;)

Should be interesting when I start booing Beuhler at the next Breakers' game. (I suspect I'll be riding home alone that night. )

Or Hooper, who drew blood on Freedom defenders on more than one occasion.

This pretty much was Mitts' last world cup. She'll be 37 when 2015 rolls around.

Oh, our dear, sweet Hoop. :) I loved our wrecking ball offense. Hoop, Parlow, Sawa .. Serlenga in midfield, the Augusyniak twins, Marcie 'Broke Jaw' Miller, Sharolta Nonen, Scurry. And Tommy.

    How I miss them. :(

Hooper was what I loved to hate. Cause when it came to Bri I was a homer all the way. But damn that Hooper.

Also hated Carolina. Beergut and Hege! Talk about ugly! It was my beloved Overbeck that stopped full on vile hatred. I mean who could hate on the meanest Team Capt. to ever wear red, white and blue?

Speaking of...I was wondering where Mia was at the final. Judging from the video on espnW.com that she posted titled Mia's Musings, she peaced out of Germany to play golf. LMFAO

  25. Well, just watch O'Reilly and her faces to feel like you're watching Parlow. They are just as bad.
