Have any of you heard of Acacia gloves or used them before? They seem to be a decent copy of the adidas Fingersave. They sell for $50 and seem a lot better than the Fingersave Academy, which are about $60. Any opinions?

    My comment:
I can't stand fingersaves and will never own a pair.

Sorry, that doesn't really answer your question.

Because I don't like the feel of them. It makes my hand feel like a ping-pong paddle being all stiff, and using them I never made a save where the solid backhand actually resulted in a save.

Oh yeah, and they promote bad technique.

at the beginning it is, all in all it's an "unnatural feeling". Unless you have finger injuries, or are playing indoor it's a waste of money IMO. There are way better gloves out there (fit and grip wise) for much cheaper.

I have had my FingerSave Ti's for about 7 months now,and I wouldent wear anything else. I had tried Reush or whatever and I found them not up to par with the fingersaves. However, I liked the removeable spines for easier cleaning.

It's my first pair of goalie gloves that I own. I like them so far,but I notice they are already wearing down a little bit. They are very comfortable and make the ball easier to catch (Like all gloves do,duh).

How long have you had them? If you take care of them (ie. wash them, don't leave them out in the sun) you really make them last a good while.

I had those a couple of years ago. One game in the rain and they were shot.

The folks at keeperzone know what they're talking about! ;)

It was a basic flat-palm SMU. That's pretty much all I know...

Just a flat palm and I'm almost certion that is doesn't have finger-save. As I said it's an SMU so it isn't avalible to the public...

What's an SMU? I heard a rumor that some guy came down from the stands and swiped Kahn's gloves after the final. Tried to sell them for something like 200K.

It's a specialy made glove. Most of the top level pros can get their gloves designed the way they want to and the company will usualy make it look like one of their gloves to boost sales. Here's a link discussing this...

The gloves Oli Kahn were wearing were the Adidas Response's. I don't remember what they retailed at but they were availible wit ES3 pal but I would think he wore them with supersoft.
