I'm not sure why people think Green is suppose to play for the US.

He's spent most of his life in Germany and has developed his talent in the German youth. Do you seriously think he'd be the player he is today if he played in the US? Anyway, I would like to understand the logic behind why he is suppose to play for the US...I know you guys are pretty desperate and all by picking up our scraps, but if Green is as talented as he is...then he is a sure thing for the German NT especially since he's in Bayern.

Born in the USA. It's a simple as that, but I'm fine with whoever he identifies with more. Are we not supposed to offer him a call-up? Actually, you're the one who sounds worried.

His dad seems to want him to play for the USA from what I have heard.

It also helps that we have many German- Americans on the team and a German manager who happens to be one of the best German strikers in the history of the game.

Exactly how many German born players does the US have? Oh and no one is worried.

Yawn. Go post this in the Green thread. He'll play for whichever team he feels like, for whatever logical/emotional/arbitrary reasons he might happen to have. End of story.

Who says he's supposed to? He has a choice. We'd be happy to have him. I won't lose any sleep if he plays for Germany.
