    From Metro Front Office

I'd like to offer my apologies to all Metrostars fans regarding the guy who is posting as Decepticon Lazerbeak. You can rest assured that we are doing all we can to find out who it is and terminate that persons employment with the Metrostars immediately.

We have contacted the guys who are in charge of BigSoccer to see if they can help us do this. In the meantime I'd like to ask the moderators if they can delete all the Decepticon Lazerbeak posts as it damages our credibility with existing customers and advertisers also because there is a direct link from metrostars.com to this message forum.

Please lets get back to talking about what happens on the field.

    Thankyou,

    Mark Washo
    Metrostars Front Office

    Mark,
So by posting here you are telling us that the accounts which have recently shown up on these boards are true? Please say it isn't so, while I am sure things have been blow out of proportion it sounds like things are quite a mess at metro hq, which is ashame before three of the most important matches in club history. While I understand Metro's desire to monitor the sentiment of fans, perhaps more effort should be made to ensure all is well at HQ.

I believe Mark is as real as Laserdork. I also believe that my thoughts are being read by the government.
I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky.

Why would MFO contact BigSoccer bigwigs thru a posting on the boards instead of thru email? They wouldn't.

Does this sound like someone who represents the MFO interests?

I should read the Metroboard more often. You've got some funky sh_t going on here.

What a weenie! Like you haven't told a rumor or two on these boards.

Just an observation from an outside observer. If the MetroStars hadn't been consistently run by a bunch of nitwit rubes I'd bet folks would talk about what happens on the field much more.

Well since Laserdork decided to end his job opportunity with these posts. Anyone want to fill the spot?

how sad...every other team has normal boards where the majority of it is fans and diehards exchanging views about players and games, imagine that...they come here to watch a circus of a board, we lose to our biggest rival with the postseason a few games away and there are barely any people left to engage in a post-game thread with...is there some metro forum where people are going to that is what this used to be?...i'm all for freedom of speech, you morons can have this if this is what you want to turn it into, but right now i'm starved for post-game reaction and all im subject to is that nick got caught with his pants around his ankles or god knows what...this team and its true fans are better than this

Man, I couldn't have written it any better. You're 100% right on.

I started posting on BigSoccer 2 years ago since I found the MetroStar fans here witty and knowledgable about the game. Even though fans may have disagreed on something, great points were always made nonetheless.

Even back then, you had buffoons who posted under bogus usernames and posted garbage, but the difference was there were moderators who quickly deleted that crap. You don't have that happening anymore.

For the past 3 weeks, the Metros board has degenerated into a forum for bored imbeciles....and it's a freakin' shame that it's been allowed to happen.

To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen..."I know Mark Washo and you are no Mark Washo"

Guys, this is about as real as Demi Moore's retrofit hooters. Just ignore Pat Walsh, and he'll go away.

Are you sure about that? After last night's performance you might want to have Lazergeek post on an hourly basis just to act as a distraction.
