Why does FSW call them the "people's club"?

    Thanks.

Feyenoord is the club from Rotterdam, not the only one; there are two smaller clubs with the names of Sparta and Excelsior, but Feyenoord is the club of Rotterdam playing in the biggest stadium in the Netherlands build in 1935.

Rotterdam also has the biggest port in the whole world and the main thing a port needs is cheap hardworking labour :) Or in other words ‘the people’ so not only is Feyenoord the people’s club, Rotterdam is also the people’s city.

    One more thing...

concerning Feyenoord and the title "The People's Club", does Rotterdam and The Netherland, in general, have a large number of unions. I have been told that The Netherlands are very liberal almost socialist. Does this have anything to do with the club and also being in the world's largest port and a big city. I know that Hapoel-Tel-Aviv has a Socialist/Communist crest for their kits and they do have a Leftist background that is why they chose it.

Just curious. Thanks again. I love learning about other culturals and how it relates to their football clubs.

The same utter crap as always.

People (not in the least place feyenoord fans themselves) tend to make Ajax look like the club for rich people and feyenoord the club for the poor working man. Utter BS. The cities of A'dam and R'dam, have a lot in common. Take away the few thousand people around the 'grachtengordel' in A'dam and I'm pretty sure both cities are very alike in social make up.

The whole myth of 'the working people' is nonsense. However, Ajax is quite popular in certain not-so-working-class circles. Why? 1995.

As you can see Im carefully avoiding Ajax in the bit you choose to quote, I did it for the only reason to don’t step on your toes :)

Besides having writen some useless stuff I also wrote the truth, Feyenoord is the “people club” and this no nonsense, Im sure a lot of Sjonies support Ajax but Ajax==Amsterdam and Feyenoord==Rotterdam. Nothing can change this.

    I know that :D

But like I said, A'dam and r'dam aren't populated by THAT different people. Different mentality for sure, but sometimes people make it look like all rotterdammers are carrying sh!t around in that smelly harbor of theirs while we all sit on our ass, collecting money from our stocks.

So I'm not saying there's no difference, but Ajax - feyenoord certainly doesn't fit in the category of rich v poor games that it sometimes gets put into (mostly by foreigners).

    SJONNIE OP SJE SJITA.

btw theirs only 16 harbors in the world bigger than our own :D
