Impressive! I met with some of the crew back in 2011 during my research. It was a pretty fortuitous encounter in Liga's parking lot. I didn't hear anything about the project for a while, but I'm glad that the film looks like it's in the completion phase. Anibal Chala is still with El Nacional, and it looks like he already made his pro debut- he's 17 I think. It's nice that a documentary will be out chronicling problems that we've all known about within the Ecua footballing network/sphere. While not many things will change, it'll at least be a better tool to develop a better understanding about the social and economic dynamics that shape footballing dreams and its important sending zones in Ecuador. And it's definitely more accessible than an academic work- p.s. UF published my thesis Money can still be raised for Dreamtown on kickstarter!
damn they still got $10,000 more to go in 48 hours. Seems almost impossible. I hope they make it though I saw some of these clips over a year ago, this really has been in the making for a while, I'm glad they stuck to it and made it this far. Congrats!
