Diallo's Crap[R]

To say Diallo is a baby is an understatement. He is a great player, but he is so immature its unbelievable.

 

Diallo is not a part of the team, he is only interested in himself scoring, they showed him after the game and he was still upset about coming out of the game. Even though the Metrostars just won a big game, he's a punk.

 

all diallo cares about it scoring and stomping on goalies hands, you saw him bitching when he got pulled out TRADE HIM

 

I think its alright not to complain after a win. Even though some things did go wrong, well maybe a lot of things, it is okay to enjoy it.

 

Exactly Train. Especially since the trade deadline has passed already. Who would we trade him for? Without Diallo, we would be one of the two teams looking up at the playoff picture. We would have to get a striker in return too, since trading him would give us Mathis, Faria and Klinger as our only strikers. Diallo runs hot and cold. Right now he's cold, but he's also recovering from an injury and getting used to a new strike partner. Let the players heal and develop some chemistry before everyone clamors to ship them out in yet another trade that can't happen right now anyway.

just a bad game for Diallo - no need to rush to get rid of him. I thought for once OZ made some smart subs, pulling Teddy and Mamadou - neither of whom were effective. Liked the defender who replaced Teddy - what's his name, Akrami? He should see more time. But getting back to the point, Diallo is selfish and immature, but he is one of the top scorers in the league since his trade and I'm scared to think where the Metros would be without him.

 

I don't think it is Diallo's fault for playing right wing. Oz must tell him to do that based on Oz's tactics ( which are terrible!!!)

Diallo was crap today, and I was glad when Oz took him out, but not to celebrate when your team scores an extra-time goal to win the game shows everyone what he really cares about!!

If Diallo makes that PK we would not be talking about this. He's happy, and the fans are happy.

So he can get the first or second pass and start a counter attack.But if he can't shoot there is a problem because he does not cross the ball well enough to hit Faria when he moves inside.

Why did he complain when he came out? Becaue he is a scorer, and if they come out they know they will have a hard time scoring

although he's a cry-baby, there's no denying that when he's on, he's on! I'll put up with his crap...at least through the play-offs.

 

As a Rev fan, all I can say is enjoy big Mama. Although our team sucks, you NEVER hear a single fan wish we had that piece of human garbage back. Although he himself sucks, you always have to figure in the corrosive effect he has on the team. The most famous Rev story is when he approached Taylor Twellman and DEMANDED that he stop soring because he, Big Mama, was the one getting paid to score. Twellman laughed right in this face. Next week, Big Mama was yours.

What we've got here is a bunch of Boy Scouts. What do you expect from grown men who play ball for a living? Even the WUSA has pulled back from the 'we're all just sisters and we love each other' crap. These guys have bad games; they get pissed off; they love to see a rival take some lumps.

Diallo wasn't hired to be Mr. Manners.

 

It kind of reminded me of the NBA playoff game when Phil Jackson set up a game-winning play for Kukoc instead of Pippen, who pouted on the bench while Cartwright tried to talk to the million dollar baby. After Kukoc made the shot, you saw Pippen walk off the bench as if he cared two sh@ts about who won.

Is anyone here really surprised that Diallo is a jerk?

As a strike TEAM, I think we are better off with Mathis and Faria (yeah, he sucks, whatever. He scores, tracks back and gives his all) vs. Diallo and Mathis. They (M & D) don't seem to click. Diallo needs long balls into space or at his feet from the midfield, not from a strike partner.

How 'bout Mathis and Faria to get the lead, sub out Faria for a defensive player, drop Mathis back to finish and sub out Williams to rest him and bring on Diallo to get that insurance goal?

 

Say what you want about Diallo yesterday....he was off, but it was OZ's fault......he should have NEVER started Faria and Diallo together, with Mathis back....Mathis and Diallo need a couple of games up top to see how things pan out.....

Once again, this was just piss poor coaching.....

 

How do you think Big Mama's teammates felt about his antics on the sideline after the game? They know what's going on, too!

OZ knows thathe's really the Big BABY, not the big MAMA. But, that's what coaches get paid for, to deal with the overly enlarged egos of players that can put the ball into the back of the net.

Listen, Big Mama, instead of bitching about your playing time, do what I did. Watch your horrible penalty kick over and over and over. How OZ let you take the kick instead of Clint, I'll never know, but the coach gave you every opportunity to be the star and you blew it. Work harder and shut yer yap.

 

Diallo has to pas the ball at some point with guys open in the box. He continually forces it too often
when he has 2 or 3 guys defending him and open guys in the box. Also should not play more than one half as looked exhausted yesterday

 

My memory is faulty did we ever start Valencia, Comas and Mathis together at the same time? If so how did we do?

Diallo plays out to the right because Diallo wants to play out to the right. Blame Oz for a lot but not for anything that Diallo does on the field. I don't believe that any coach has control of what Diallo does on the pitch. Diallo is a selfish player who only cares about his personal stats. If the Metros didn't win a game but he scored every game, he would be happier than if the Metros won every game and he didn't score as much. There is no way that he make the pass that Faria did. It was a good sub by Oz.

 

I think Diallo played out right because he saw that Faria kept floating to the middle....I agree that Diallo is a selfish player and his pouting yesterday was a little much, but I think that had more to do with him wanting to make up for the missed PK than anything else.

 

I really think we should start giving more credit to Faria. Yeah, he missed alot of horrible chances that a seven year-old girl could have put away earlier in the season. But I really feel he has improved as the season went on. But the main thing is is that he always gives it his all. He's always hustling on the field, and he's a lot less selfish than Diallo. Diallo never would have cut that ball back and passed it. He would have tried to make a move to get off a shot and would have wound up losing the ball. To be honest, I really don't care that Diallo is a better finisher than Faria, I'd rather have a guy out there that has some heart.

I don't think Mathis and Diallo would work together up top. There both pure finishers and probably wouldn't have any chemistry. Maybe this is why OZ puts Mathis in the midfeild, so he can start both Mathis and Diallo. So, the question is, if you were the coach, would you rather have Diallo starting with Mathis in mid, or have Diallo on the bench? Once he benched Diallo and moved Mathis up, and gave Williams more room to work, we started dominating that game.

 

I disagree. I think they would work well together up top. The one time they started together Mathis found Diallo in a matter of minutes (against New England) with a long pass. I also disagree that Mathis is a pure finisher. Mathis is an excellent finisher with a playmaking flair (think back heel to Donovan in W'02).

Someone asked me if Diallo would ever get a decent cross in yesterday, my response is why is he the one sending in the cross? C'mon OZ, common sense here.

Also, I think Diallo's tantrum had a lot to do with the missed PK ... someone's reputation has preceded them. Lay off already, especially because I doubt you were saying anything like that when he scored 4 goals against LA. He should not take PKs anymore though. Even the one he scored went down the middle.
