I like that attitude, se debe hacerlo for MEXICO, and not be sidetracked by petty personal grievences.

Its not petty. allowing someone to humilate you is not petty.

it goes further than that. Its about respect and respect is a 2 way highway.

    I don't believe a word he says..........

Truly Lavolpe has proven that he is a man of his word.

for a second there i thought the "maltratos" were recent.. Blanco once again expressing his discontent with the national team coach cant be a good thing as it appears that Lavolpe has formed a core group of players that are willing to back him up through thick and thin and im willing to bet this was one of the reasons why Temoc kept to himself during his last call up.. Thus i wouldnt like the seleccion to end up divided and affecting our overall gameplay.. Lavolpe however has been keen on this issue and has stoped calling up players that have spoken against him most notably Ramon Morales and Braulio Luna. Will Temoc get the cold shoulder by the seleccionados ? or will Blanco lead an uprising and oust the Argie coach, stayed tuned..

I'm just curious to know what your take on Lavolpe, his players and his enemies is.

    Nice goal by Bofolango.

On one hand its good for the national team players to form a strong group that is no longer Blanco dependant. Let us remember that Blanco had allready given el tri the cold shoulder when he called it quits over plane tickets. He had a brilliant return but in the Worldo Cup was quite disruptive, abandoning his teamates when he got subed out ect..

I think it is good that Blanco is speaking out against Lavolpe, but bringing up past events is quite lame. There are better ways of getting rid of Lavolpe, talking smack that can cause a division within the group isnt one of them..

My take on Lavolpe, hummm.. where to begin.. first the positive. He has put together a solid group of players mostly his Atlas and Toluca pupils. Who can argue about Oswaldo, Marquez, and Pavel Pardo on the national team. Lavolpe is also doing a good job with rebuilding the nat team and many new faces have quickly adopted.

The Negative, his bad handeling of the press, idiotic comments, and failure to keep his promises should of been enough to get him sacked after Athens. It didnt happen and we are now stuck with him untill the Hexaganol. therefore we should let him work cos we dont want another Meza situation were we change coaches in the middle of wcq and start a new emergency process. If the squad dosent perform as desired then he can get sacked Bora style after the team is qualified for the Worldo Cup..

On Lavolpes main enemy Hugol, i didnt want him as head coach when the list of candidates was first given out. However much has changed in the past two years and we have all seen Hugol make massive improvements as a coach. He has the winning mentality that we need and he would be the ideal man for the job. Still i would prefer if he stayed in UNAM a while longer and won a Copa Libertadores.. next year with Marioni back on the squad you have to like their chances..

NO, the FMF gave him the cold shoulder. Not one fvcking call to him when he was left to rot after that Elcock tackle. FMF didnt pick up the medical bill for the longest time. And the straw that broke the camel's back was that he wasn't sent 1st class when "others" were getting 1st class tickets.

Your whole arguements about players being disruptive is getting old. Show me 2 articles to see where his ex teammates talk bad about him?

NO it is not lame, because numerous players that have played under him have said the same thing. There is a pattern and people dont want to look at it.

    Danny? Osorno? Zepeda? Mendez?

    Maza? Hugo Sanchez? Osorio?

it seems that the people that want Lavolpe to finish is because they want a "proceso", in other words, the cycle to be completed.

What good is that if the person is not the ideal person? Are you going to put a roof on a house that has bad foundation, just so you can say "we finished the house." Because sooner or later, it will have to be fixed.

I don't think anyone can favorably argue against the selection of Mario Mendez or Ricardo Osorio.

Mendez has been very good recently (although we've not played great teams)

Ricardo Osorio showed in Copa America glimpses of what could be and he looks to be a very talented player and especially performed very good against Uruguay (forget the gol).

Hugo Sanchez G. has been fairly solid, there is more room to argue here, but he's been solid no real big f-ups, and was pretty good in the olympics for the short time he played.
