Wasnt the Sun was it? TBH I dont know that hes got 3 more years left in him. Id match rather see him go now, in blisteringly good form, that degrade over the next 3 years and be remembered as a bit crap...

Agreed. The club would never sign him to a multi-year deal at this point. It's one year at a time based on the prior season's form. Don't get me wrong, I worship daily at the altar of DB10 (he's the reason I follow Arsenal), but there's simply no telling what his form/physical condition will look like as the years progress. He started this season well, but he's slumped recently. We'll see if the form picks up. I see him around for one more year, more as a sub and mentor for kids like Van Persie.

I was as pleased as anyone by Dennis' early season form, but that is the quandry of an aging superstar. We'll get more flashes of brilliance out of DB this year, but they'll be fewer and farther between. Lat year, he wanted one more year, and he got it. And we've been rewarded, don't get me wrong. But unless he's willing to be in more of a reserve role, then I don't think we should extend him any further.
