Does anyone else think the Atlantic Cup should encompass all games played between us and the Scum during the season, i.e. the Atlantic Cup game and possible playoff games?

I think it's crap to have the trophy just based on the regular season match ups if more exist.

Maybe we can get something set in motion here or something.

Also, please don't post in this thread to say "I hate the Atlantic Cup" and crap like that, that's not the point of this thread.

i think that the atlantic cup should incorporate more teams. in fact, i was thinking earlier that the league could create an atlantic cup and a pacific cup which would be given to the top eastern and western conference teams, respectively. although, i'm not a fan of the conference table (i'm in favor of a single table), it would be an additional prize for clubs to strive for (other than playoff spots and field advantage) and provide more bragging rights. so, perhaps in the near future, clubs could attempt to win the mls cup, either the atlantic/pacific cup, the open cup-->our own version of the triple. heck, add another cup for overall top club in the regular season...call it the charles cup for now (in honor of clive charles).

Seriously. Hopefully Cleveland can get a team or something.

Personally, I like the Atlantic Cup format the way it is. Do they use the 1 away goals = 2 home goals format?

As soon as Columbus has tidal access to the Atlantic coast, we'll include them. :)

This would differ from the already existing Supporters' Shield how, exactly?

Strangely, I thought this thread was going to be about how the loser would stop having to take Richie Williams as the consolation trophy...
