With these new demands and wants (wanting to be in LA again) when does MLS say, "Not so much"? I'm not saying they should or shouldn't. I'm just wondering at what point you all think that that line should be drawn, if ever.
As much as the league needs investors, you can't let one guy run your show. IFFFFFFFFFF he is really making these demands, and we can't really be sure that he is, then we need to politely refuse him and tell him to take his soccer ball and go home. this weeks attendances are telling me that there are some fan bases being built up, and we can't throw away the steady growth of the league for someone who is gonna be a circus act. Dallas can get away with it with Mark Cuban because the NBA is a more established and respected league. MLS can't follow that same path.
Hear the man! Yes. The MLS should say "Thanks but no thanks right about now." The cost has gotten too high and I don't get the impression that this guy is a team player, which is what a single entity requires.
Screw Chivas. Can you imagine the *#*#*#*# storm that would erupt if a US team tried to get into the Mexican league with such demands?
it wouldn't even get to that. the US team would be summarily dismissed with hearty laughter, and that would be the end of it. I KNOW that MLS has not risen to the level of the MFL yet, but geez, you have to have rules in any league and you can't allow someone without the leagues best interest at heart to make demands like this.
let's revisit this question when there's 30 million English-speaking AMericans living and working in Mexico.
The idea to have Chivas-USA (MLS) was not Vergaras to begin with. This was something Burillo Azcarraga (ex-FMF rep/owner of Atlante) and Uncle Phil had been working on for a wile. Uncle Phil (AEG) was even rummored to be taking over Club Guadalajara which was going bankrupt untill Vergara came in and bought the whole club.
Wull, wull, no way man, your just, yur just a idiot. [For the humoristically challenged, the above is meant as a joke, poking fun of a certain type of BS poster...]
At what point does MLS say, "Thanks, but no thanks." to Chivas USA? RIGHT *#*#*#*#ING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who the *#*#*#*# does he think he is trying to come in here and start all this all-Mexican shite? Who the *#*#*#*# does he think he is saying he wants the Galaxy out of LA, so MLS Chivas can come in? He thinks he is hot shite. MLS HAD BETTER TELL THIS *#*#*#*#IN' WANKER TO GO PISS UP WIND. It is true MLS needs the money...but to sell your soul to the devil...bad idea. I *#*#*#*#IN' HATE MLS CHIVAS AND THAT *#*#*#*#IN' MEXICAN BASTARD!
I dunno who you think you are, actually, telling people who are investing money in our country how to run their businesses. You want to talk un-American... well that's it. Vergara's going to have to play by our rules (US laws and MLS rules) subject to the usual MLS shenanigans. Apart from that, where I'm from, we let the businessmen run the businesses and the goat herders ride the herd.
Look, all of this stuff is part of negotiation. Nothing has been finalized. No one has signed anything. Lets all just relax a little bit and let them work stuff out. The guy is just asking for somethign it doesn;t mean he has to get it, nor does it mean he will. So what is he asked to be in LA big deal!?!?! it doesn't hurt to ask and if he pays enough money and wants to run the Galaxy in a top flight professional matter than so what?? The sky is not falling and there is someone who wants to invest in our league. I think some of you wouldn't be so bent out of shape about it, if he wasn't Mexican!
