I'm basically between KC and DC and perhaps Chicago, I'll break it down for you

KC: Love their roster, how can you go wrong with what four er five USMNT players. They also have what I think is a strong defense, me being a defender appreciates that. I like the way the play and they have def been involved in some exciting matches this year. Problems are that EJ may be going soon, their stadium sucks, and I'd be one of what 11,000 supporters?

DC: Gotta love the tradition and I like their roster a lot too. Strong in basically all aspects although I think Moreno's pretty much washed up. Maybe if they brought in a sweet DP it could sway my opinion. I really hope they get a SSS.

Chicago: Closest to my home being from Milwaukee. Gotta love the addition of Blanco although I'd rather be cheering for a US player. Toyota park is pretty nice, but the fans were a bit weak when i went (maybe it was because houston won 4-0).

    What do yall think?

You really should decide that upon yourself but KC deserves more fans and I think you should be one of them.

I say pick Chicago. You actually live close enough to go to a game from time to time. There's nothing like supporting a team that you can actually watch in person, even if it's only a couple of times per year.

I'de say you should be a fan of whichever team you think you will get to see in person the most.

There is nothing like seeing your team live to make you feel a passion for them.

Being far removed from the team makes life difficult. It makes it easy for you to root for other teams and to jump the wagon on a team that you once yelled at your TV in support of every weekend.

I myself had thought I was a Galaxy fan, but I didn't get a chance to return to the mainland this year and catch any games, and the Gals have never come back out here, so its hard for me to consider myself a real fan. I don't have that closeness that I know I would feel if I had been to the HDC at least a few times this year.

So, imo, go for the team that you will actually be able to go and see and not just watch when they are on national/regional TV.

Agreed. It doesn't matter whose roster you like - rosters come and go. Unless you're planning to be a flavor of the month fan and skip from team to team depending on who plays there. If that's the case, do whatever you want, nobody really cares.

How many of these retarded threads must we endure?

Don't become a United fan. We have no use for people who need the validation of an anonymous internet messaging board to choose "their team".

Don't jump in mid-season. Wait a year and go with the Earthquakes.

Hopefully you are, we don't need any more Scum fans procreating.

I've never claimed to be a nice guy either, looks like I won't get that Miss Congeniality crown after-all... guess it's between you and FenoFootball.

I was going thru this same dilemma myself. I live in San Diego, so I'd have to drive to LA to watch a game. The traffic sucks. So I guess it comes down to Chivas or the Galaxy. I've never watched Chivas (maybe tonight), but the Galaxy are inconstant (it might be too painful to be a fan). I just went to my first game on August 26 th. I saw Man U vs Tottenham at Old Trafford. I gotta to see another game. I love the sport.

I say go with Chicago, only because its closest and you'll be able to attend more of their games.

I thought Milwaukee was trying to get an expansion team. If I were you I'd throw my support behind those efforts and watch MLS for good soccer instead of for a particular team.

I guess you are a transplant. No real San Diegan would cheer for any LA team;-). Pick another team until we get our own.

I chose Houston because they have Cali ties and they are close to where my Dad is from in Texas. But I will never be a true fan of the Dynamo, just waiting until SD gets a team.

Thanks to all of you that weren't assholes. I'm new to the MLS and was just tryin to seek a little guidance since i really haven't been able to make up my mind over this season. I'll prob stay split between chicago and KC mostly because I like the players on KC way more but Chicago is getting better and it's close. The idea of getting an MLS in milwaukee is pretty dead I think. I think it'd be great but all their ideas have been terrible so far. They proposed using the milwaukee mile (a huge car track with one grand stand) as the venue. Milwaukee has a good reputation of being a soccer city, kinda like St. Louis but I can't see us gettin a team for quite some time.

I'm from the bay, but I lived here for 10 years. Your right LA Sucks. Maybe I'll support the Quakes. I just want to be able to go to a game. Maybe they should move Chivas to San Diego. We need a team.

Theres alot of people like me that are just simply fan's of the MLS

Because of where i'm located (Orlando Fl) I don't get the chance to see any soccer that often other than what's on T.V.

I like the entire league to be honest. And I also like individual players.

On the L.A. Galaxy side, theres this new players of theres name Mike Randolph he's probably one of the fastest defenders i've ever seen and he's raw. So give him a few years and I think he's going to do unbelieveable things on defense and attacking up the left side after tackling the ball.

On D.C. United I have to be honest theres a crap load of players that have some really good foot work so I love to watch how well they move the ball in general Luciano is fun to watch but even when people say he's washed up i still like watching Moreno

I'm originally from North Side Chicago so i'll always like watching the fire but like i said, i'm not able to watch anyone more then another so I kinda am just a fan of the MLS and I love watching it grow.

when it comes to fans i have to say (i'm going to sound naive in saying this) out of all the fans for each team, the one forum I see without as much hate in it is Columbus crew and dear god are there fans polite.

Anyways, Just be a fan of the MLS man 8) watch as much of it as you can and you can be a fan of all the teams from one week to another. It's not fair weather because it doesnt matter who wins or loses just aslong as it's good football.

It stinks to see your team only on TV, but since I cant travel to Mexico City every couple of weeks, I have to watch Cruz Azul only once a year at the Interliga, and every week on TV.

But the goats are here, and there is nothing like being in the stadium if you love the game, and if you are, lets say indifferent as to which MLS team to pick; go to the closest one and the team may grow on you.

    Enjoy the show.
