Which players should Arsene buy at the mid-sesason mercato?

    Arsene mentioned a couple of forwards and a couple of defenders- Which players do you think he should go for?

    CB : Philippe Mexes (he would fit pretty well with Sol)
    CF : Djibril Cisse (that would be the coup de grace for Houllier !!)
    CF : Didier Drogba (Ivory coast player from Marseille - very very good)

    Rafael van der Vaart - new # 10. Offer Ajax some money now, and let him stay there on loan for the rest of the season. He's cup-tied in the CL anyway. But let's lock this kid in asap.

    i'll just be happy if we get mexes. i just think he would be a good fit in the back. not that i would push toure out, he has had an outstanding run so far, but i would feel safer with a natural centerback instead of somone else converted from midfield

    Arsenal don't have nearly the money to pry this kid away from Ajax right now. Hell, Ajax may keep him one more year just to drive the price up even higher.

    I do wish we had the cash to get hom, though.

    the two young defenders at Auxerre, Mexes and/or the French-African, Boumsong.

    Arsene should buy Mexes. He would be a natural fit at the back and he would speak the Franglish language that is so prevelant at Highbury and Anfield.

    I highly doubt Cisse will become a Gunner, but if he does, I will be the happiest Gooner in the world!!
